Whew its been a while since I made my last announcement!
More then half a year has gone by since I last made my headline about whats new in the life of the duke...

Well, I didn't leave on a jet plane, but I drove my Rodeo back to cali with my bro, Alan, after giving it the best 6 months that I could in Louisiana. Loved it there, but after the break up, I had more unfinished business back here to take care of. I will make it back to Louisiana one day...

Transition is a word that marks what is new with   more...me, for sure.

The day after I get back, I get a phone call that has changed my life ever since. My long lost brothers and sisters had found me after 12 years. I spent the whole 4th of july weekend with one of them (too much in that one weekend to talk about in one announcement!)

I am currently still unemployed and looking for a way to get back on my feet. Its nice and all to not have to report to work each day, but I'm getting really stressed out without having a job. Just waiting for that call back I've been searching for.
But yeah... thats the cliff's note's version of it all. I got some new ideas and projects I hope to partake in soon, so hopefully there will be something to film of it all, too.

After an excited wait, our home was put down on it's foundations yesterday! Fairy girl and I are so psyched about it! Next week this time, we will be making sure everything is packed as we fly south for Thanksgiving and her 21st b-day! :)
Hope to do some fishin! Heh heh heh...

Roughly 5 inches away, the most beautiful creature he has ever laid eyes upon kisses his shoulder as she realizes he is writing about her at this very moment. A sly grin makes it's way across his face as he takes in her energy and her light... trying hard not to laugh as his quasi-serious and author-like poise is tested with this announcement in the rough. Amazing is less then fair enough a word to describe the circumstances of this engagement. In nearly 4 months, the brown   more...duke and his dutchess will be road tripping across the nation to fill the gap that once held them in Limbo.
What some people had believed to be a beautifully hopeless and unrealistic endeavor is quickly becoming real to those same people. A little late, if you ask me.

Thats right, Yours truly is making a trek. No, not that kind of trek, fans of Shatner Vision. Mine is a trek of the body, of the soul, of a present that is to become the future. I journey in December to the land where FairyGirls come from.

1600 miles away, the most beautiful creature he has ever laid eyes upon briefly stirs in her sleep. Murmuring something incomprehensible, and sealing its secret with an innocent smile.

Its funny how little a difference distance can make if you don't let it. I've turned my head and my heart on it before, don't get me wrong. Oh yes. I, the duke, singer of songs, and peacekeeper of stickam, HAS indeed denied belief to the very idea of a healthy and prosperous long distance relationship   more...(or LDR, as I shall call it). I had broken the heart of a young lady before, because I ceased to believe that an LDR would work, and when there was a problem in OUR relationship, i blamed it on the distance (which was a fraction of what i have faced these past couple of months). Folley? Perhaps. I know I felt at the time it was the agent of demise, and in that way, I distanced myself from the distance to save face. I was sooo certain it was the fault of the Long Distance mechanism that controlled my heart- or the lack thereof. But I realize now that it wasn't the distance itself that destroyed that love, it was my own weariness of the distance. It was my unsureness and insecurities about the preservation of love, passion, and faithfulness. In a nutshell...
... it was fear

Like I said to begin this whole shindig, "Its funny how little a difference distance can make if you don't let it."
You ask me, "Duke? Whatever do you mean?" I know you ask me because it begs the question. I answer, "Well, (your name here), I have let it make a difference. And it was like the shaky touch that knocks down the house of cards. Yet with her I did NOT let it make a difference, and it's was the stuff that dreams are made of."
You see, in 6 days, Dee (heyfairygirl) and I will have celebrated a 1/4 of a year together, and all save 5 days will have been long distance, with an average of about 1600 miles, and 2 hours difference between us. I feared at first that it would not work, but almost as soon as i feared it, I realized I had nothing to fear. And as cliche as it sounds, i REALLY had nothing to fear but fear itself! I was and AM 100% confident of my feelings for her, and I trusted/trust hers 100% as well. We've gone through a LOT as a couple in such a short amount of time, we've fought, we've loved, we've lived and we've laughed... and somewhere in between all of that, we managed to swim in a lake, walk hand in hand, eat sushi, cheesecake, drink wine, and have pineapple the next morning, all within 36 hours (the only time we've been able to physically be with eachother).
I've never been so attracted to someone, and i've never felt so...

SO MADE FOR SOMEONE! :)

We are, simply put, tailor-made.

The last few months, with all of the glory, love, smiles and tears, all come together in 22 hours. She is leaving on a jet plane, to be with me. To start our life together. To start fresh. To be eachothers cure, remedy, and source of happiness in every day, and not just after hours (when verizon users and cingular users are allowed to inter-mingle in peaceful harmony). The questions, the longings, the flirting, the silent treatments, the blowing of kisses, and the descriptions of tucking her in, and EVERYTHING else we've had to allow to make this possible, amounts up to these last minutes, these last seconds of knowing what I was meant for, and who i was meant for...

...the wait will be over...
