Taffie had a successful cataract surgery to her left eye Dec 17,2008. It was a uphill battle with high post op eye pressures. She is doing well on her eye medications. She has another week in the Elizabeth collar then she is free!!

Lexi lost her battle to colon/rectal cancer. We enjoyed the short 7 months we had her. We wished we could have had her longer. I hope she enjoyed being out of the shelter. She is sadly missed by all in our house. I still look for her. RIP my Lexi girl; I'm so sorry your first owners didn't respect you by dumping you off in a box at the front door of the shelter. I would also like to thank everyone at the North Shore Animal League in Port Washington New York for loving Alexis " Lexi" as much as I   more...did. And a big thank you to abyssinian rescue ! for helping lost abys get new homes!

My dog Snuggles lost her battle to liver cancer.It spread to her lungs.She wasn't able to eat. She will be remembered for her 13 years of service as a Therapy dog/Hospice dog. She loved going to the cancer camp for kids every summer in Vermont. My heart aches with pain. I will forever miss you!
