Thank you for providing such a wonderful column. As for WHY I read the obituaries daily, it's simple: I'm a smoker who's looking for people who died of lung cancer in effort to scare myself into quitting. My original thinking was not so noble (much less logical): I figured that on the days I found NO smoking related deaths, I could puff away more-or-less guilt free. However, in the past 10 years of reading the obits (and remaining a chain-smoking fool), I've yet to experience such a day. So perhaps, in the future, you might answer MY question: WHY IN GOD'S NAME DO OTHERWISE SANE PEOPLE SMOKE? (I know it'll kill me & hope MY obit will help somebody else stop smoking! - :)

August 24, 2007 – Los Angeles, CA – Circadian Rhythms Corporation has officially released “Ode To Cheese,” an exciting new hip hop music video about a cool cat's love for cheese that morphs into an obsessive addiction. Now on YouTube and set to take the internet by storm, the video is performed by popular recording artist, David Aldo, and features Craig Williams and Celeste Creel.

The song, itself, is written by Niels Cederfeld and Sally Hughes, and inspired by   more...Sally’s late kitty cat, Elvis, who loved cheese (and Sally’s new kitties, Salem and Houdini, are featured in the video).
