A lot of people have commented on the differences in the communities of YT and LV. But I never really knew what they were talking about. I posted ONE vlog on YT and this was the first comment I got:

Thanks to everyone who spent the time to share. As some may have noticed, I haven't posted in months due to technical difficulties with LV. I know computers and I know it's not from my end. LV hasn't returned my emails or fixed the problem so I am going to give up until they get back to me.

New Top Ten Posted

The top ten statistical gems for this month are posted in my forum. Here are the top three. I think you will all agree that these are three of the highest quality and most engaging videos featured by LV. Pduff's original poem, which now tops the chart, has been inspiring. Prosperia's beautiful Aria "Baby Mine" is a great way to end the day. I highly reccomend listening to it before bed :). Faye006 has always been a center of engagement for this community. Thank you to all three   more...of you.

Some people wonder what LV would be like without numbers, without hit counters, without views, without favourite tallies. It could be very different, better or worse.
But LV does have numbers, lots of them and I like them because I can use them to find really good videos! Numbers mean nothing on their own, hits, views, comments... you can never look at a single video and know if the numbers mean anything. However, as a whole set you can see what the numbers indicate is   more...beyond normal, where the results are so improbable that there must be some quality or controversy driving the numbers.

I hope these numbers mean something to you, I hope they recognize the videos that refuse to settle for mediocrity. By no means are they the only worthwhile vids, but I find that my approach helps me find the things I enjoy most.

First award is the LV Favourite Award. This award simply highlights the user with the most featured videos out of the previous 200. As of today the user LiveBands has 7 featured videos! that is 4%!

Livebands does some great work in highlighting great music and exposing the underground. Keep up the good work Livebands.

The Superstar Award goes to the user with the most views for all of their featured vids in the past 200. Right now the user FlashBash has had 214,831 views, that is a phenomenal number of views for LV, this is BY FAR a record since I have been watching these numbers. I have to admit that I have never seen FlashBash's work but I promise I will as soon as possible.

Thank you FlashBash for the profile you give our community, driving traffic keeps sites alive. Sites like yours are the bread and butter that keeps the rest of the community alive.

Next up is the Citizenship Award. Given to a video with over 10,000 views but still maintaining a high ratio of comments to views. Topping this chart are a few familiar names, the fourth position held by the wehogirls and their video "Dirty Talk is so EASY". The number two position held by suburbanmom's "Are You Normal?" series, followed closely by Fay006's "Subscriber Shoutouts Part 1"

The winner of the citizenship award is Sylar with the vid "A SYMPHONY OF BOREDOM". Sylar displays his impact to the community with a video of 10,846 views with 162 comments. Thanks for your great work Sylar.

Next up is the Quality Award, which is simply the video with the highest ratio of hits per view. The number two spot is held by periurban's "Lily Loops" but the current leader is a returning leader, Megalis with "Diet".

This video amazes me with 655 views and 100 whopping hits. Megalis is dripping with talent and has a great gift of gab. Keep it up man.

The Controversy award acknowleges videos with a high ratio of comments to views. The top two positions for the controversy award are familiar ones. Number one is Elminer's "What is the Live Video Ball" with 553 Views and 39 comments, number two is Sylar's "Will the LVR Leader Fall? Part II". Number three is PoliticsTV "Fmr RNC Chair Ken Mehlman on "Two Americas".

Next up is a little slice of statistical heaven. The muunkky awards are based on the statistical norm for the entire set of 200 featured videos. There is a muunkky award for both quality and controversy. This method finds the mould breakers no matter how many views they have had.

Muunkky Quality.
"Baby Mine" by Prosperia is still in the top three. Holding the number three spot, this beautiful aria is still one of my favourites. The number two spot for muunkky quality is by pduff with his poem "Music Keeps Me Afloat". A real original piece of work that has inspired many others (including myself) to take a stab at poetry.

The number one spot for the Quality award is Faye006 with the video "20 Questions" with 7404 views and 355 hits. Faye, I can honestly say no one has made me laugh out loud in front of my computer as many times as you have. Keep it up.
