It came out in the news. The new screen acts like a frost fence, and someone already got their tongue stuck on it from licking it, and unfortunately, now they have to carry around the iMac stuck to their face until they get the necessary surgery.

I want the new iLife for iMovie more than anything else, although my mac may struggle with the ram as it needs 1Gb and i only have 512mb LOL! But im managing to run FCP with no problem, thanks to a friend doing a select install for me ;-)

I can get iSight for this but its quite expensive and as i plan on getting an iMac as soon as i have the money then it feels a waste right now!

They upped the HD to 320 GB from 250 Gb, but they have always been a bit cheap with the HD space. You can easily buy a slick USB - 500 Gb HD here, [external] for just $160 should HD space be a problem.

I agree - the compression time is pretty bad - but the result is good and the file size if I remember properly is quite small. I'm dying to play with the BRAND SMACKING NEW iMovie!! :-)

Even importing the video file in the first place can be 5 mins or more for me.. yet with FCP it does it completely different, it just imports like like when you move more...

The basic new iMac actually only has 250 Gb still, and for the tiny bit of extra space to 320, but an upgraded video card, they want an extra $300. But the higher end 20" has twice as much video RAM. :-) and over processor is every so slightly faster.

I will buy that new "iLife" today if I can get it on-line, or get my hands on a copy, because a great video editor is always on top of my list, and they probably improved garageband too.

Finally I was able to order the iLife 8 this morning. So I'll be one of the first kids on the block in Winnipeg with this.

I think that a new iMac is in order too, for the basement.
