| Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at 1:35 PM | | JENNA4878 rides again! --THE INTERNET Today, March 12, 2007 The wait for Jenna Sullivan's next episode of REALI-ME TV, much like the wait for the next Harry Potter book, is almost over! In Episode 1, Sullivan states "My recent discovery is that if you’re gonna 'Vlog'…just get it done and do it. Because if you say 'oh, I’ll do it tomorrow,' you’re not going to.” She drifts off for a moment, shaking her head in the negative, knowingly and finishes her thought simply “no." Having proven this to more...be the case by simply not vlogging for a month and a half, Sullivan has recommenced taping and will hopefully have something to show for it by the end of this weekend.
The subject matter for Episode 2 has been a matter of great debate among watchers. No information has been released yet and Sullivan has continued to be her reticent self. The only thing that is known is that Episode 2 shall be entitled "Attack of the Loans." One can only guess what may be included in this episode.... less
| Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at 7:17 PM | | --THE INTERNET Today, February 7th, 2007 Jenna Sullivan has finally been able to upload her vlog to the internet. After trying for several days to no avail, Ms. Sullivan has unleashed her silliness upon the world. There have been many hiccups in the process. We went directly to the source to find out exactly what those hiccups were. "Well, I'm an idiot," Sullivan began. "I never claimed to be a techie. I taped for a few days and then I edited together. I thought I'd make it easy on myself more...and do it on iMovie. Big mistake." There are several problems in the final version that Sullivan finally decided to accept because it had become "wicked stupidly obnoxious" to try and fix them and then re-export to Quicktime "about 18 million times." Her biggest issue in the final version is about 45 seconds of black screen before the video begins.
Once she exported it to Quicktime, and tried to upload the video to the website she ran into an array of problems that Sullivan, herself, described as "really, really annoying."
But, flaws and all, the piece is finally up. Look for new installments expected on a weekly or bi-monthly basis. less
| Monday, January 29, 2007 at 9:03 AM | | Plans for Jenna's LiveVideo Channel
--THE INTERNET Today, January 29th, 2007 Ms. Sullivan has new and exciting plans for her LiveVideo Channel. Rumors abound about what it could be. Experts mention elephants as a possible explanation. But for what?
While many signs point to a video blog on the way, others point to a sort of reality tv opportunity.
When reached for comment, all Sullivan would say is "Stay tuned and find out."

| | | | | | Well, theatre people thought they were greatly in trouble when moving pictures came around. And it's true, unfortunately, live theatre attendence has more...dropped. But this could also be due to the price of admission and the change in our culture away from more "literate" forms of entertainment. Of course, there's the "which came first" argument - did theatre attendence drop because of admission prices and the dumbing-down of the culture or did admission prices go up and the culture get less interested in more literate entertainment because of the rise in popularity of movies? Which, I feel, can be directly compared to TV today and the reality-based programs that proliferate on our channels. Obviously, it is cheaper to produce reality TV and people just eat it up. This is caused by the availibility of technology and it's relatively low price. Also, just anybody feels like they can be Martin Scorsese or Steven Spielberg or Penny Marshall (had to include a woman in there). Is this a good thing? What do you think? In short, I don't know the answer to these questions and am interested in your opinions. Any predictions? less | Last reply Jan 25, 07 by jenna4878 |
