It may seem to be antithetical, but what makes me alive is drugs and my Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. (Not at the same time.) I'm a couch potato, and the escape from all my worries (not that I have any) is so peaceful as to be indescribable.

I’m happy to be alive because I am. I know that sounds like a cheaters way out of the question but it’s the truth. I may not like all that life throws at me but It feels good to be here to catch it. You know what I mean?
