I will be sad to see a new Star Trek movie without my old friends. However when I listen to you talk about the salary you comand, I guess I can understand why I will not see you. I pay max for when I go to conventions to see you & you really don't give more...

I reiterate my main point made on comment to your previous post on the subject. The writers are so oblivious to what they are missing out on by not including you in the script...and that is richness and depth to the storyline. Spock will add enough layers more...

You are and always will be Capt Kirk...there can be others with the name, but it will not be the same ! There is only one true Capt Kirk....and Spock too for that mater :)

I am do mad and disappointed....they have to put you in this movie somehow or some way or it is not going to be star trek. I'm glad for Leonard and don't want to take any glory away from him, but come on now, movie makers, Captain Kirk is William Shatner more...

Without Gene Roddenberry around, making a Star Trek movie or anything else would be like making a Disney movie without Walt being around. Kind of like baking a cake, but having something not quite taste right.

Star Trek without Captain Kirk is just not Star Trek. However, I suspect salary considerations are the biggest factor in the absence of the original Captain. Too bad. He will be missed.
