Sidor Belarsky came to America in 1930 from Russia. Here is his rendition of "Reizele" set to photographs of one spectacular sunset.
Translation: REIZELE more...- (Gebirtig) arr. Belarsky At the end of the street lives my darling Reizele. At even tide I pace back and forth 'neath her window and whistle "Come! Come!" The window opens and Reizele answers. All ajoy I pace back and forth cracking nuts while I impatiently await her. "Come! Come!" I say as I hear her mincing footsteps on the stair. At last she is down. I kiss her forehead. "I love you, Reizele: I love the house you live in, even the little stones around your house" but hear, her mother's calling, "Reizele, come, come up." Happily I depart cracking nuts and singing. Her tiny footsteps patter up the stairs and all is silent. "Reizele. my dearest, come to me in my dreams tonight! Come, come."
Somehow, I didn't get my usual blurb on this video. You can find information about Sidor Belarsky on his daughter's website: http://www.sidorbelarsky.com
