I think Star Trek can be revived if done correctly. It would have to not only please the 'old' fans, but draw in new ones to keep it going. Personally, I've missed Star Trek. I can't believe there is going to be a generation lacking it's influence. I

refused to believe that Captain Kirk could be killed off so easily. Ok, I'm off my soap box now ;)

I would make Kirk a Head of a Counsel that has much to do with policy over the events that happen in a new movie and make him the centre of attention due to the fact that all decisions rest on him to save a planet from being destroyed by alien forces

Don't tease me like this. ..I want another TOS movie so bad (or as close as we can get, with the passing of some of the original crew) I can hardly stand it.
The thought of Kirk and Spock on another adventure to save the Federation ... bliss.
The JJ

I think it could be done, some variation on TNG and Data being in that time stream where he was seperated 3 times by a few seconds, just expand the spread of time signigantly, it would also possibly explain how Kirk knew he would die( for the 1st time)

I think the franchise can be revived. It hasn't been gone for that long and the fans that were around when it was around are still there. Another movie would do well, I think. I like the story idea. I can't help but wonder, though, if they would use

Hey, Bill. Did you ever watch any of the other shows Next Generation, Deep Space 9, Voyager, and the failed Enterprise? My favorite DS9 is the one where the crew went back in time to the original series and made a joke about the Klingons, how they looked

Bill,
I am so excited that they are making a new Star Trek movie. JJ Abrams would be a fool not to use you and Leonard in the film to draw in die hard Trek fans like me. I am sure that they can come up with some story line to explain you and Leonard just

showing up in the past. Come on now, you brought Captain Kirk back to life in your book , The Return, with the help of Borg technology and a very vindictive Romulan female. I know that Kirk died in the movie Generations. Kirk and Spock could travel back into their past from some point in time before Kirk dies in Generations. Spock could easily make the young Kirk forget about their meeting by using some sort of Vulcan mind meld thing. Just the way, Sarak made the 12 year old Jimmy Kirk forget about Sarak's involvement on Tarsus IV in your book Avenger, which by the way is one of my favorites. Kirk and Spock could travel back in time to warn themselves about some impending disaster. Then in turn they could help save the universe again. All I know is that I want to see you and Leonard on the big screen together again. Please make it happen Bill. You're my hero. Best wishes to you and yours. Forever yours, TK
