Description:
Japanese company Genepax presents its eco-friendly car that runs on nothing but water.
The car has an energy generator that extracts hydrogen from water

that is poured into the car's tank. The generator then releases electrons that produce electric power to run the car. Genepax, the company that invented the technology, aims to collaborate with Japanese manufacturers to mass produce it.
This Genepax product appears to violate the First Law of Thermodynamics.

This does not violate the First Law of Thermodynamics at all. What we have here is a type of battery. Car batteries normally produce hydrogen which is a byproduct. The water cell is a true battery which uses disimular metal plates to slowly generate

electrical energy. I believe that this is a Reva electric car with Lithium batteries and the addition of a water cell battery. If the water battery produces 300 watts, it will take 26 hours to recharge the Lithium batteries to a full charge of a 5 killowatt hour. So, this works, but it is not simply a matter of filling a car with water and it is ready to go.

Now I know why your handle is "sm0ky." You smoke-up before posting a comment. You are clearly unqualified to make technical commentary. An AMP is a measure of electrical current, not energy, so WHAT are you talking about? And do you really think that
more...
car companies aren't going crazy to squeeze every bit of energy from a gallon of fuel|? The competition is fierce. The "electrode" you mentioned is connected to ANOTHER POWER SOURCE, like I said. You can't use a Britta to separate "H2 and O" because they are joined by a chemical bond. You'd better read-up a bit!

I was simply asking a question. (nothing to this video) At 12 volts and 15 amps used to produce hydrogen, do you believe a car can gain 15 to 20mpg? Sorry for leaving the 12 volts out. Just would like to hear your points.

This is a HOAX. Water is not a fuel. It can be used to store energy, but energy has to be put in to get it out, and the only thing in the universe that gets more energy out than you put in requires NUCLEAR FUSION or NUCLEAR FISSION. Clearly that's
more...
not what is here.
Hey, what the hell is a "Hydrogen extractor" anyway? I say it is a battery that has to be recharged!
Careful... don't get sucked in like the nimwitt from Reuters who filed this story.
FYI, I'm a thermodynamics combustion engineer.

One thing that people don't know is that gasoline has energy in it. If you could just get all of the energy out of it, your problems would be solved. A typical gasoline engine is only 14% effecient.

Being a thermodynamics combustion engineer, do you believe that producing hydrogen with 9 to 15 amps with a gain of 15 to 20 mpg is possible?
Hitler made a car in the 30s that made 38mpg...Why can't you guys do better then that?

We are accustom to fast discharge batteries that quickly die and must be recharged or replaced. This is how money is made; by throwing things away. A water cell battery uses platinum and other dissimilar metal plates and will slowly produce electrical

energy. The battery will last a very long time and will only need to be refilled with water. It is not a hoax, it is just the science lesson that you missed the day that you were home sick with the flu.

That's all the researching you have done?
It does seem to break the first law of thermodynamics.
The membrane electrode assembly contains a material that breaks down the water into hydrogen and oxygen. I believe it works.

Water is hydrogen and oxygen. That's two hydrogens and one oxygen. All you have to do is split them apart(which takes energy). The fuel cell technology that converts the electrolysis directly to electricity is a bit more complicated.(google it folks)The
more...
concept of electrolysis...(splitting water with electrons) has been around for a long time. Why develop this technology when energy was dirt cheap?I think most folks have no idea how big this technology...and it's off shoots is really going to be.So much for the oil empires strangle hold on the world.

right on. Hydrogen generators can be used to get mileage by causing petro to burn more completely.
People still say it cost more to produce hydrogen then what it's worth...I tell them that I use a hydrogen generator and raised my mileage by 15mpg. I like

the 100% water idea.

If anybody can tell me how to download asx-files, then I'll make subtitles and put up all the details from their homepage in video-format. Lay it on me.
btw. The car itself is from India, hence the "dork look". The battery seems legit. I have kept my

eyes on it for a wee while now. It was originally designed to be a mobile power-generator for emergencies, distasters and such. It is intended to complement a battery, although it is completely self-sufficient. They just updated the site with a few, few pages in English: http://www.genepax.co.jp/en/index.html
Catch'ya later Lar'.

the production cost is currently about 2,000,000 Yen (US$18,522), it can be reduced to 500,000 Yen (US$4,633) or lower if Genepax succeeds in mass production.
