I watched Generations and i thought it was good, but, if you don't mind me saying Mr Shatner, instead of Scotty and Checkov being the two fellow retirees with Captain Kirk, they should've gotten Spock (somehow, someway, even if they had to re-write the

script again.) and Dr. McCoy, becuase they were the closest friends of Captain Kirk.
And i have a question for you now. If you had a choice in the matter, would you have had let your character die?

It is interesting to me that, in some way, Captain kirk died as he had prophesied in Star Trek V, because he was "alone" in the sense that none of the "family" members were in anywhere near him. However, contrary to what Mr. Shatner says about the lack

of heroics, I find his acting and even the death scene and especially the scene leading up to his fall, to be in character. William Shatner has always shown great insight into the characters he plays, and I believe I've seen them all. I'm sure he could have written a better script than what he was handed, but like the true Actor he is, he made certain the show went on and he gave his all. After all, is not the play the thing?

the best part of the movie was the begining.the way they killed you off in my opinion was some of the worst scripting i've seen.now where do they go from here.is star trek dead.heres an idea lets say they build a new ship ,way ahead of its time, and a

renagade captain steals it .after finding out about something and reports it to starfleet but they blow it off .so he recruites crewmates to help him track down this terror and starfleet tries to track him down with help from thier allies .add a bunch of battles and some new villians and make it a little more darker then the other treks.just a thought. see ya

Bill, why not convince the folks at Paramount to do a "Funeral" for Captain Kirk, as an envelope for a "life biography" of Captain Kirk?

For Kennedy's funeral, it was Lincoln's that Jackie tried to emulate. Yes it did seem rather unfulfilling to have the last scene of Generations with Picard standing alone at the grave of James Kirk. -- I wouldn't've bought into the phaser shot in

the back though, either. What ultimately was filmed wasn't great but it was better'n that. Nice seeing you again and as always Very Best Wishes.

KIRK IS NOT DEAD!!! according to the way the nexus ribbon works, Jim is still alive in the nexus. Gynan (woopie goldberg) Said herself said " a part of you can never leave the nexus! KIRK is alive!!!!, somebody (which should be Spock) can find the

nexus ribbon and get him outta there in the same fasion as b4. Yes he came out and died, but the nexus still has kirk in it. TELL ME YOUR THOUGHTS, Imagine, ...... The time is after the last movie, the enterprise E is in dock gettin ready to leave after it is fixed from nemisis, they leave dock and just outside the solar system they read a vulcan ship on their scanners, it is Spock, he tells picard that they must take the enterprise and rescue kirk again from the ribbon, i will post a video with the whole story and if u like it we will send it into paramount with a petition to have it made into a movie lol, its worth a try,
ps... spock died in the wrath of kahn, kirk saved him... now this is spocks chance to save Kirk before the ribbon is destroyed

Wow. I had no idea that's what was going on behind the scenes. I thought the film "Generations" handled Captain Kirk not with respect but rather cheaply. Odd that so much money could make something so topical when the original Star Trek series had

so much heart for so little funding. I do think I would have preferred the shot-in-the-back and a prolonged and memorable ending for James T. Kirk. Sounds like Leonard was wise...even for a human! And by the way Paramount: I stopped watching the Star Trek feature films in the theaters when it became all TNG.. subconciously out of protest.

I thought the death of kirk was pretty cheesy, Generations was not the one of the best star treks. the only saving grace was data getting emotions.

I agree, Spock should have been with Kirk at the end, and the end should have been epic, for the heros that we have all come to love, though I did love seeing both the captains.
