| Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 1:39 PM | | Doctor of Sister Lucia of Fatima Interview by FATHER ROBERT J. FOX - DIRECTOR, FATIMA FAMILY APOSTOLATE INTERNATIONAL It was my privilege on the eve of May 2007 to spend two and one-half hours with the personal doctor of Sister Lucia of Fatima. This woman doctor who is now 57 years old came here to the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament, Hanceville, Alabama where I offer Mass daily in the lower church. Branca Paul M.D. was Sister Lucia's personal doctor the last 15 years of Lucia's life and was more...with her when she died. Branco Paul M.D. shared special and precious pictures with me concerning informal moments with Sister Lucia.

| Monday, April 2, 2007 at 10:14 PM | | God could call you at any time Part 1 of 2 Reading for prayer group 4/3/07 MESSAGE #2973 from the Blessed Mother March 16, 2007 My daughter, Allow Jesus to inflame your heart. Trust in His Divine Mercy so you persevere with joy in your heart. So many today do not trust in Our Lord and they are choosing the road to eternal death. They are attached to the world and are giving in to Satan’s empty promises. Oh, how I weep for those who are choosing darkness. Please, dear children, take up your cross and more...follow Jesus. There is no middle way, you must turn to Jesus and devote your life to Him. You must obey each Commandment and meditate on Our Lord’s Passion. You must pray with humility and kneel before Our Lord. You must love God and unite yourself to Him. You will not find true happiness in anything or anyone except God, who will be your strength. Please, dear children, turn to God so that He can press you close to His heart. Make amends for your past mistakes and do penance for your sins. Serve My Son with all your heart and keep your focus on Him. Do not be foolish children; believe that someday you will have to die. Your soul will need to be in a state of grace. Each of you will have to answer to God. Your conscience must be at peace and that will not happen if you have not made time to be with God. Please use your time wisely, for you do not know the hour. God could call you at any time and you must ask yourself, am I prepared? Do good now while you still have time, for I say to you, the day will come. The day will come and you must think seriously of the day of your judgment. Now, please be willing to suffer now in the time you have left and keep your eyes on Heaven. Be truly sorry for your sins and pick up your cross and walk, walk with Jesus. Amen.
2 Corinthians 7 - Letter from Paul
Even if I caused you sorrow by my letter, I do not regret it. Though I did regret it—I see that my letter hurt you, but only for a little while— yet now I am happy, not because you were made sorry, but because your sorrow led you to repentance. For you became sorrowful as God intended and so were not harmed in any way by us.
Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. See what this godly sorrow has produced in you: what earnestness, what eagerness to clear yourselves, what indignation, what alarm, what longing, what concern, what readiness to see justice done. At every point you have proved yourselves to be innocent in this matter. So even though I wrote to you, it was not on account of the one who did the wrong or of the injured party, but rather that before God you could see for yourselves how devoted to us you are. By all this we are encouraged.

| Monday, April 2, 2007 at 10:14 PM | | God could call you at any time Part 2 of 2 Reading for prayer group 4/3/07 Catechism of Catholic Church 1030 All who die in God's grace and friendship, but still imperfectly purified, are indeed assured of their eternal salvation; but after death they undergo purification, so as to achieve the holiness necessary to enter the joy of heaven. 1014 The Church encourages us to prepare ourselves for the hour of our death. In the ancient litany of the saints, for instance, she has us pray: "From a sudden more...and unforeseen death, deliver us, O Lord"; to ask the Mother of God to intercede for us "at the hour of our death" in the Hail Mary; and to entrust ourselves to St. Joseph , the patron of a happy death.
Every action of yours, every thought, should be those of one who expects to die before the day is out. Death would have no great terrors for you if you had a quiet conscience. . . . Then why not keep clear of sin instead of running away from death? If you aren't fit to face death today, it's very unlikely you will be tomorrow. . . . Praised are you, my Lord, for our sister bodily Death, from whom no living man can escape. Woe on those who will die in mortal sin! Blessed are they who will be found in your most holy will, for the second death will not harm them.
Excerpts of a Homily by Fr. Robert Altier March 9, 2003 We know that this now is the time of suffering, as many of our prayers – for instance, the Salve Regina – would call this “the vale of tears”. It is a place of suffering. And we have to endure that suffering as we move toward that final moment of our lives where we will have to make that explicit act of faith, where everything we have been incorporated into in the covenant with Christ is going to come to a point of decision: Do we really believe it? Are we going to make that explicit act of faith in Jesus Christ as we enter into the threshold of death and walk through it?
Before we are able to do that, we need to prepare ourselves. God did not just bring a flood without preparing Noah. He did not just simply ask Our Lord to go to the Cross without first preparing Him with the desert. Nor does He ask any of us to simply face death without having been prepared. This season of Lent is a time to die to self. It is a preparation in a spiritual way for what will happen physically for all of us. It is to learn to say “yes” to God and to say “no” to ourselves. We need to put everything else aside and we need to focus on what is most important so that we can die to self and live for God, so that we can look at preparing ourselves. Enter into this death of Lent in order to rise in the Resurrection of Easter. All of that we have already done spiritually in our baptism, and it prepares us for what is to come where one day we will enter into the physical death so that we can share in the physical resurrection. That is what this time is about: to say “no” to ourselves, to say “yes” to God, to learn to deprive ourselves so that we can be filled with God’s grace – so that we can die to self and live for God.

| Saturday, March 24, 2007 at 4:38 PM | | Part 2 "to find the example of Jesus" -- From our prayer group 3/20/07 Excerpts of a Homily by Fr. Robert Altier - Tuesday November 12, 2002 http://www.desertvoice.excerptsofinri.com/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Saint Paul lays things out rather nicely. He tells us we have to live our lives in a way that is consistent with sound doctrine. We have to be temperate, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith and endurance, and so on. We have to be living more...our lives as good examples to people around us. We have to be humble. We have to be charitable. We have to be pouring ourselves out.
And he tells us that the reason for this can be found in the Incarnation. The little passage at the end of the reading today is about Christmas; it is about the Nativity of Our Lord. He says, "The grace of God has appeared, saving all and training all to reject godless ways and worldly desires, to live temperately, justly, and devoutly in this age, as we await our blessed hope, the coming in glory of God and of our Savior Jesus Christ,"
So for our own selves, then, we need to look at the example of Christ. We need to look at this little, tiny Baby who was born of a human woman, who was born in a cave, who has come into this world for the purpose of being obedient to His Father and of giving His life for us, who lived in such a way that He was above reproach. He teaches us how we are to live and that we are to find ourselves to be servants of God and servants of one another.
When we can finally come to the point of actually doing what God requires of us – that is, when we can get to the point of becoming saints – then we can truly say that we are unprofitable servants. Until then, we need to get rid of even that amount of arrogance and we need to recognize that we have not even approached being an unprofitable servant yet; but rather, all we can say is that we are selfish, disobedient slaves who are not doing what we are supposed to do. Therefore, we need to keep working at it, to find the example of Jesus, and to become truly the dignified individual who is living as an unprofitable servant of God.

| Saturday, March 24, 2007 at 4:36 PM | | Part 1 "to find the example of Jesus" -- From our prayer group 3/20/07 MESSAGE #2965 from the Blessed Mother February 12, 2007 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- My daughter, I am with you. Continue to pray and do your part for the salvation of souls. Prayer and obedience to God is how conversion will happen. All my children must pray and live, live the Gospel. They must be an example to all their brothers and sisters. Without love in your hearts, you will more...only turn others away. Please be prayerful, loving children so more turn to God before it's too late. Satan loves war, so please do the opposite of what he is telling you. Be loving and forgiving and rescue those who have allowed hate to rule their life.
It is time now to move forward with love and joy in your hearts. It is time to speak the truth in a gentle loving way. All must wake up from their slumber, so please respond and share all that I am teaching you.
Now, please be obedient servants so more can be accomplished in this time of renewal, mercy and grace. Amen.
Catechism of the Catholic Church http://www.scborromeo.org/ccc.htm ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
#520 In all of his life Jesus presents himself as our model. He is "the perfect man", who invites us to become his disciples and follow him. In humbling himself, he has given us an example to imitate, through his prayer he draws us to pray, and by his poverty he calls us to accept freely the privation and persecutions that may come our way
#1011 In death, God calls man to himself. Therefore the Christian can experience a desire for death like St. Paul's: "My desire is to depart and be with Christ." He can transform his own death into an act of obedience and love towards the Father, after the example of Christ:
My earthly desire has been crucified; . . . there is living water in me, water that murmurs and says within me: Come to the Father. I want to see God and, in order to see him, I must die.
I am not dying; I am entering life.
Titus 2: 1-3, 11-14 Duties of the Older and Younger ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
But as for you, speak the things which are fitting for sound doctrine. Older men are to be temperate, dignified, sensible, sound in faith, in love, in perseverance.
in all things show yourself to be an example of good deeds, with purity in doctrine, dignified, sound in speech which is beyond reproach, so that the opponent will be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about us.
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds. less | |

| | My 17th Birthday Party I was ProChoice - Silent No More 03:34 It was my seventeenth birthday. I missed school that day, and my friend drove me to the hospital. I was admitted and put into a ward with other young more...ladies who were waiting for their abortions. Later, I was wheeled into the operating room and put under general anesthetic. I woke up bleeding, in pain, nauseated, and had a very large tell-tale bruise where the IV had been. Late that afternoon I was released. My friend picked me up to drive me home. We arrived at my home to my seventeenth birthday party. My whole family was there. I hid my hand to avoid any questions about the bruise. No one knew that night, as they celebrated the day I was born that I had taken the life of my first child. http://www.silentnomoreawareness.org/testimonies/testimony5093.htm less Added: May 22, 07 Views: 101 Category: People |
