After nearly fourteen weeks of ignoring all my friends, I return full of shame, regret, and in the hopes you all can find it in your hearts to forgive an old fool!

As most of you know, I lost nearly all my sight in both eyes last November. It has been an extremely difficult period of adjustment for myself. Of all people who should know better, I allowed depression and self-loathing to get control of me. I felt ashamed! Ashamed that I could no longer keep my promises to you - promises to never   more...abandon the Gallery or the Birthday videos. I'm sorry to say, my video making days (as well as photo re-touching, etc.) are now a thing of my past.!

Even with a 32" WideScreen LCD monitor, it is till extremely difficult to navigate a computer. I must use a magnifier to view everything one word at a time. I can no longer view vids nor watch TV; even driving my car is a distant memory and I won;t even go into sailing WET as it brings too many tears!

I do not yet know what good my being here will serve anyone as I can not see vids nor can I respond to Suggestions or messages without expanding an unbelievable amount of time and energy. Even typing THIS message seems to be an exercise in fertility. I still can not get over the feeling like I have let all of you, my best friends in the whole world, down! If you feel I have, p;ease accept my most humble apologies - it was NOT intended to turn out this way. Trust me, I would give ANYTHING in the world to get my sight back but that is not to be! I just pray that God will let me keep what little bit I still have left !!!!!

In closing, I can not thank many of you enough for standing by me through all this and not abandoning me. Your e-mails and phone calls were the only things which gave my life any purpose at all. For that alone, you will never be forgotten and you will always have a very special place in my heart. You know who you are ...........

My greatest wish is to once again become a viable and useful member of our LV Community yet I'm not certain what usefulness or good my presence here will accomplish? Nevertheless, I'm willing to give it a try if you'll have me ......
