It's never good to hear about a biker going down. Those of us who know it and felt it, know what its like, and those who have never been down before...may never know the feeling. On the lighter side, the rainv=bow at the begining was cool!

Nice dam, also my buddy IS a LOT cocky, and I actually thought in my mind at beggining of ride to tell him to take it easy. But then it sounds preachy, but I am realy glad he missed the barrier, and a street sign when he hit the ground, his bike stoppied more...

Yeah, I think you are right. It's sad news, but when you hear a guy slammed into a telephone pole on a streetbike, it's usually due to driver error and excessive speed. But.. "Your kid must have been riding like an idiot" doesn't cut it when you hear more...

I hate hearing about bikers going down. It's something I always think about when I get on my bike. But I tend to forget about it when riding.

Yea, its a trip sometimes. There's another outlet as well, near the power generation station, but it apparently isn't used as much.
