Great job with the setup. Looks like it took quite some time to rig up. I was just looking for another camera, and they're freaking expensive now!

Yea, they're all going for about $3-400 now. That whole setup, aside from the time spent buying supplies, only took about half an hour though.

How thick is the lexan? 3/8?

Maybe? Maybe 1/8? I dunno....it doesnt have to be thick, just thick enough to be rigid...That stuff is almost as hard to cut as glass is man.

Good luck, I'd advise you get it ASAP, all they're doing is getting more expensive...

Lowes or Home Depot. Either has it. It's with the plexiglass...

Just gotta talk him into getting a cheap helmet to basically screw up. There's actual helmet cam systems out there, but they're expensive and the audio SUCKS.

Why not get some cheapass helmet windscreen, cut it up and fix it, glue / screw it on to the outside of the chinguard to completly cover that big hole. Buy some with lightsmoke color and the hole wont be so visible. Dosent look like that pice off lexan

No, it won't distort too much, what will happen is you'll get more wind noise (from inside the helmet) and you'll see more of the camera in a reflection. Mine doesn't appear to reflect at all, but other setups will.

Hey if it works it works - was just an idea to cover the hole. Did you mean that the windscreen would distort the picture when the camera is to far away?
Man if only the fucking snow could go away so i could test some vlogging my self :(

PS - That lexan only cost me about $1....and it's stronger than glass, and stiffer than most plastic.

The closer it is to the camera, the better. Your idea would have the camera an inch or two from the screen, mine is about a mm. I've been using the setup for a while, the video from the 250, as well as what was taken on river road used it, and they came

out great. There's a couple reasons why having the screen as close to the camera as you can is necessary, if you want I'll explain...
