World-wide, we will soon be without any veterans of The Great War, and those of WWII are also decreasing in number. This mournful lament from Gordon more...Lightfoot has always brought to my mind the soldiers of WW1 -- so far away, not knowing where or when the end will come, and longing for home. This one is for all of our veterans. A special “thank you” goes to my good friend in the Netherlands who provided many of these photos from his own collection.

As summer is approaching we are facing Australia's worst drough in recored history! The skies go grey, yet the rain dosen't fall so water restrictions more...are in placed. Gone are the days of children playing under the sprinkler and in waddling pools, going to your 'Serect' spot in the country for a nice day of skinny dipping as the creeks and billabongs are all dried up! Farmers losing their livelyhood as stock and crops are dieing. Where is the RAIN??? less
