I was waiting at Lake Julia for the sunrise, so I could take a nice photograph (which, unfortunately, I no longer have). It was dark at first, then it more...got lighter, then the Sun rose and filled the lake with light. This composition expresses that in music. less

I picked more...the music, with the second piece played by Edison Grand Concert Band and presumably recorded by his phonograph.
Just to put it into historical perspective, this is what Edison was filming two years after Melies filmed his Le Voyage dans la Lune (The Trip to the Moon). less
