| Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at 8:37 PM | | Hey all you crazy Amatuer videographers out there! I'm uploading my old Carrington polytechnic vids for your amusement and my immortality. I went on from these vids to animating at Toonz Animation here in Auckland, New Zealand where I had the opportunity to work on many cool animated shows for Walt Disney Television. I worked on Timon and Pumba, The Quack Pack, Redux Riding Hood, Tex Tinstar, Pith Possum and my personal favourite... Third pig! which was episode #56 of Tales From The Crypt and thier more...ONLY animated episode!!
I went on from that to producing 36 magazines, including the late 'LOOP' magazine where I directed the first LOOP CD selecter one. Since then I have directed two more CD's of various New Zealand music. I had a two year spell where I was teaching 3D animation and now I'm setting up my own business to customise guitars, while I finish a couple of my current video projects 'Nocturnal' and an animated music video for the NZ music artist Tomachi! less | |

 | | | The Stepping 04:32 Ten years ago I was in a band with my friend Dave Zachariah. He passed away years ago, drowning in Lake Taupo. When we were writing he came to me with more...a simple two track tape with his first ever lead guitar attempt and rythm on it and I wrote these lyrics and sung over the top to create this tune. When Dave disbanded our band he gave me this song for my own solo act because he knew it was my favourite and we never really played it as part of our set. I almost cried when I dug this old song out of the archives. I want to get this proffessionally produced and send any profits to his child. or at least keep his memory alive by releasing this song. The rythm guitar in this tune is Dave Zachariah and the lead guitar by Ahtongi Achong. The bass was originally Matt Wilson but I had to relay my own bass playing over the top as it was too low in the original mix. I re recorded the vocals and added my own guitar track. The original elements were looped from an old practice cassette of our band practice at the now demolished Maramalade studios practice space. The tapes were all second generation copies cause Dave stole my fucking originals. God bless him! lol! If you own a recording studio and are interested in helping me produce this song for his childs charity send me a message. less Added: Dec 23, 07 Views: 69 Category: Music |
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Angst 11:39 Angst, my second year production. This time I had some performing arts actors to collaberate with. Some crazed late nights to finish shooting this one. more...My pal Dion Geaney was on camera (see the rider in Return of the Mooses). Rajiv wrote the basic script and we both sat down at Auckland Library and blocked out the shots. Rajiv has since appeared in numerous ads and even starred in a recent feature film! Paul the guy playing the mysterious doctor is also an acting force to be reckoned with but even more impressive I felt was the performance by Michelle Civil as the illfated girlfriend. She was actually a dance student rather than an actress but I think she did very well considering the working environment and dramatic demands of the production. Anyhow, here you go!! I'm looking forward to shooting some more of Nocturnal after I spend the next month gearing up the Werewolf for the NZ Body Art Awards. I'll keep you all posted!! less Added: May 22, 07 Views: 127 Category: Extreme |
| | Numinosum 08:25 Finally I uploaded the Numinosum!!! Numinosum was my end of year student production in 1992. Hammy acting and rubber monsters inspired by David Lynch's more...Eraserhead!! This was officially my first ever short film and is extremely laughable. But still worth watching from a B-grade shlock perspective, so have a gander and a giggle at my expenses! I was 18 or 19 I think when I shot this in 92' and at the piont never had carnal knowledge of a woman so I think it's not bad for a virgin, teen hayseed splatterpunk. Ha ha! less Added: May 20, 07 Views: 55 Category: Extreme |
