The video was cool. I do like the subtitles so I can learn or at least know what you are talking about at the time. The font, color, or something wasn't right. They were very difficult to read. Hope to see more.

Ironicy you are talking to us....
mmm you could argue that talking to someone in the car is the same as using handsfree.... where will the implications stop? =D

It would help if you knew what you were talking about. They've done studies. Handsfree doesn't make a difference. It's about having a TWO WAY conversation and needing to concentrate on what SOMEONE ELSE is saying. I'm just thinking aloud.....and everyone

thinks. There's a big difference between what I do and cell phones.

The cell phone issue is scary as hell when you're on a motorcycle. Friday, riding home on US54 it was easier to count the people that were not on cell phones. You can always spot the callers, swerving, driving too slowly, not keeping right, etc.

Flying thru Taiwan traffic with your dog on your scooter, making gestures and having discussions (granted, they're one way discussions) with your video camera (which is different from a cell phone how?), and you're lecturing people about driver safety?

I love your vids, but come on dude. Talking on a cell phone while driving is no different than what you're doing. Some people can handle it, others can't. You're coordinated enough to do it without ploughing into a farmers market. So are others. Some aren't.

Exactly what I was going to say. I've been watching Mordeth's vid since the beginning; but he does get a little hypocritical from time to time.

The "Cloud" guy has the AGV Valentino Rossi helmet. I guess it's to match his other racing replica gear for his scooter? Haha

Yeah, people are morons on the road anyway, but then distract them in some way...look out...I can't remember all the times I've almost been hit by some idiot that did something completely retarded because they were so wrapped up talking to someone on

Hands free is a huge difference; you're blocking and restricting movement and focusing on holding the phone. Hands free is basically the same as chatting with someone next to you. Eating while driving, reading the paper, fixing makeup and napping between

light changes is the american way!!! Yet it seems a lot less crazier than the drivers in your Vlogs; especially at intersections. Soon I'll post some of my VLogs on my side of the world so you can see how F*up it is in NJ! Couldn't clearly read your red text; maybe it's just me. Love your vids; don't take my comments personally.

Oh yeah well then (:P to you!!! Simulation: on a controlled track with drivers conscious of all their actions for all intense and purposes. Such tests can't be considered fact; drivers are focused on the subject at hand. In "real" life drivers aren't

thinking of being tested thus not focusing on their carelessness when driving and using a phone. So it can’t be assumed that it is a 100% true to life test. Apparently GM took some statistics on accidents that included drivers being on the phone; they claimed that there was no concrete evidence that the accidents were caused by drivers being on phones. Then again, it is a motor company who is trying to increase their sales by putting as much electronic devices in their cars such as “hands-free-phones”, GPS etc… I only comment on experience and my experience has been that driving with a hands-free-phone is a lot more comfortable and safe than holding the phone in my hand. Is anyone reading our posts? M13 will probably delete this! I don’t have an attitude, I just like to debate and express my opinions. And to close (;P

Is there some else having problems understanding my comments? Never heard that before, you are the first one having difficulties. By the way, you read them.
So what's your simulation then?
And I know what a theory is. That's why I wrote that this is

not a theory. It is a FACT that using the phone increases reaction time. Do I really have to write all this another time? Nah, no use, you'd ignore it again anyway. Maybe that's why you have problems understanding.
I wish you luck with your attitude and hope you wont be let loose in central Europe. Wouldn't be good for traffic safety here.

I tell you what; read up on what you are trying to debate and then make some sense in your comments; maybe then people will read them. You will also know what I meant by simulations; look up the word theory!

Yes you are right, it were simulations. Would you demand to throw real kids in front of cars and see if the driver can break in time? Did you read my comment at all or are you simply ignoring it because you don't like the content? It's NOT A THEORY.
There are enough studies that used real cars on test tracks (which are even simpler then real traffic situations). You are simply spreading BS. Driving while beeing on the phone, hands free or not, reduces attention and increases reaction time to a level where you would be considered drunk if it were due to alcohol. The only difference between hands free and hands on: people using a hands free system thought they did well, while they did as bad as people with the phone on the ear. Seems you are overestimating yourself, too.
Listening to music doesn't make any difference. Operating the radio/CD player does. Ebooks? Are you crazy? If someone did this his licence should be taken. About talking to passengers: they see what the driver sees. So they will stop talking if things get hairy. If they don't and the driver doesn't stop them, then it's at least two morons in a car which were better off if they'd use the bus.
Btw. this is no "jumping on the bandwagon". It's my opinion through observation (backed up by scientific studies). As a passenger I see how the driving changes if someone is using the phone, hands free or not. I see what can happen in the one second someone operates the radio. I see how other people drive like idiots when they use their phone.
To end like your comment: I personally think that you are overestimating yourself, that you are ignorant about the facts and that you are a danger. So please remove yourself from the road before you wrap yourself around the next tree or even worse harm/kill your passenger or other people.

Your comment is based on simulation and estimates; there is no way at this time to truly define that such theory is true; although GM claims that they have done quantitative studies and agree that hands-free is safer. The studies that you mention also

state that listening to music, Ebooks and speaking to a passenger can cause the same affect as using a hands-free-phone, which is the same as using a phone while driving. So if you feel that such studies are enough to convince you that using a phone is dangerous, then stop doing all the above while driving or being a passenger. I personally think that you just jumped on the bandwagon like everyone else and have no self-opinions about such theory.

So you claim all the studies of traffic safety organisations, which show there is hardly any difference between hands free or not, are flawed?
