| | Thursday, July 17, 2008 at 4:20 PM | | I just learned that there is some guy going on around here blocking anyone who claims to be friends with me. Oh well! I don't care about him, nor the people that take his side of that issue. I am only here to play my music...and to make my videos. THAT'S IT! I am a grown man who has not the time to be messing with that old~time, played out non sense. If you regret being friends with me....you don't have to worry about that. You know where the door is. However, I am happy to report that I have some more...REAL friends here. Because of them (amoung other reasons) I ain't going anywhere. I love it here...I thank God for the chance to play my music...and love the friends that listen to it. Keep hating me for my color...or whatever reason...I am above that. You can't stop me....I am taking flight...and flying amoungst eagles.

| Thursday, January 24, 2008 at 12:44 PM | | As you either know...or don't, I had been on vacation for most of this month. It was a wonderful three weeks off to myself and with my family (see pics below). But I must tell you this one thing: I REALLY got to be with my passions ....my production work. Sheesh! I love making music...and setting it to pictures (or is it the other way around...filming moving pictures and setting it to original music?) Either way...I really got the chance to reach in deep and pull my soul out! This was a very humbling more...deal because i was then reminded of how blessed I had been to have this gift! I didn't have to have it....as well as I could have been born without it. So I just wanted to take this time to say that I am one greatful producer. I thank God big time for giving me the gift and talent...so that i can keep making these songs (and videos to the songs) for all of you! When you see one of them, i want you to remeber what I just told you....and realize that I will neither forsake my gifting, nor forget who gave it to me! MM less | |
| Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at 4:52 AM | | With respect to the last video "Sweet Spirit of Phaedress" Phadress was ...and has been a friend back at you tube for almost a year now. I had always thought of her as a beautiful spirit. As a musician...I was jealous that someone else started producing original music in order for her to produce her videos with (I had wanted to do that for such a beautiful lady) That's how I knew that I was musically inspired by her. A true artist ...be it with notes on a piano, or paint on a canvas...lives and dies more...(or better yet....just breathes, or is driven) by their inspiration. She had already been driving me.
Well, I was devastated (for lack of a better word, or disturbed) by this video made by my inspirational friend....Phaedress...in which she comes clean with her true self image, which was at times not whole...."and nothing could ever fill the void" ever again.I was moved. As a musician / artist, as a friend...as a fellow human...I was moved! That's when I had to act on my instinct...to not only express myself theraputically, but to replace her void with something, even if it meant only partially. I had no choice. I would not be myself if I did nothing. The song came naturally in three days (after forcing it unsuccessfuly for the first two). If the life and/or light in the person is uplifting and/or celebratory, wouldn't the musical description of that essence be coresrondingly celebratory in an up tempo kinda way, as a kind of musical/poetic impramateur? The visuals and music in this video alludes not to tragedy, but to life, influence, strength warmth and benificence.

| Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at 9:43 AM | | Their marriage was good, their dreams focused. Their best friends lived barely a wave away. I can see them now, Dad in trousers, tee shirt and a hat and Mom in a house dress, lawn mower in one hand, and dish-towel in the other. It was the time for fixing things. A curtain rod, the kitchen radio, screen door, the oven door, the hem in a dress. Things we keep. It was a way of life, and sometimes it made me crazy. All that re-fixing, eating, renewing, I wanted just once to be wasteful. Waste meant more...affluence. Throwing things away meant you knew there'd always be more.
But then my mother died, and on that clear summer's night, in the warmth of the hospital room, I was struck with the pain of learning that sometimes there isn't an y more.
Sometimes, what we care about most gets all used up and goes away...never to return. So... While we have it... it's best we love it... And care for it.... And fix it when it's broken..... And heal it when it's sick.
This is true... For marriage.... And old cars.... And children with bad report cards..... Dogs and cats with bad hips.... And aging parents.... And grandparents. We keep them because they are worth it, because we are worth it. Some things we keep. Like a best friend that moved away or a classmate we grew up with.
There are just some things that make life important, like people we know who are special.... And so, we keep them close!

Don't you love walking under the "boardwalk?" Don't you just love the fresh cozy air, the friendly, loving people, the rides, the campfires, the ocean, more...the food, the food and most of all, the food? Lynn and I just happen to go to the coast for our anniversary month (Sept...8 yrs). On the last few roads trips, we have managed to catch a little board walk~time....as we would pass by (on the way back home). Missy can only remember the last few times in her almost seven years of riding along. Although Missy's attendance has changed the nature of our road trips from "Lynn and I" time, to "okay...it's all of us now" time, she has only added to the total enjoyment of getting away...and getting out there! There is something about the boardwalk that she plugs into; between all of the things to see, taste, and do, Missy becomes an aesthetic sponge and soaks it all up with eyes wide open! It is so hard to explain...you really have to just be there with her to experience the crazy fun she brings. It will turn you all into big kids guaranteed. Missy is the official owner of the boardwalk venues. She OWNS the board walk. She loves everything about it...and loves being in the midst of all the friendly people. This song came to me as I sat and thought about how Missy's soul was left...back at the place that I now consider "Missy's Boardwalk!" Please enjoy my friends!

This is the story of a wonderful Birch tree that had become old. It was dried up and dead looking as well. Lynn and Missy were ashamed to even get caught more...looking at it. This tree had to go....in order to make room for the new tree.....what a sacrifice. Are you that willing to sacrifice everything, or anything you know and love for the sake of another? You don't hear about that anymore. Gone are the days when real people knew what sacrifice meant...and was still willing to do it for the greater good of another. Gone are those days. less

Missy was scheduled to attend a friends birthday party, which was on a work day for me...yeah..great! So when more...I came home that evening, I wanted to see the pictures Lynn had taken. Needless to say...I was amazed; I had no idea that this little kid's party had taken place at a horse ranch...complete with horse rides! So many thoughts began to race through my head: 1) any parent would want to be in attendance for their child's first anything...including horse riding....so imagine the feeling I had of being left behind and missing all that fun. 2) Just by looking at the pictures...I realized that horses are special creations. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think they are the biggest animal that kids can get the closest to i.e., right on the horses back. It's no question in my mind that a shy, little kid can gain the greatest confidence knowing that he, or she can ride on the back of such a strong, tall and beautiful friend (horse). This song was inspired at first by the sadness I had once I 'd realized what an awesome time I had missed. But as the music builds, it is inspired by the strong beauty posed by all horses (and other animals in general). I know first hand that Missy left her horse with so much confidence and happiness...it's hard for me to imagine that these beautiful creatures can give so much to a young person's self esteem, but receive mistreatment and abuse in return. I dedicate this song to the wonderful horses that made my daughter happy that day...as well to the people like Diane (Galaxy) who work hard to protect them. To see them as the strong creatures they are...but to get close to them as friends is a totally awesome feeling. Thus the term..."Horse~Happy." less

Got Happy? It is an amazing thing to be happy. But how do you know if your happiness is true? True happiness , as with love, is realized once you can more...let go of the thing that is the source of your hapiness. If the object of your happiness returns to you, you can experience true joy in knowing that it was meant for you to have this thing that brought about happiness. For two days...I was without my music as my equipment (which is used to process ) was acting up. I was out of my regular sort (didn't know how to act). In that short time...after praying for a miracle (to put it lightly), I began to migrate towards other activities (which was not easy at all). But when I chose to let the music go free for that time...it miraculously came back to me (in the way of my equipment being healed....THANK GOD!!! ;) Hey...I just know that my stuff was working after almost being brought to tears about not having it to produce music. I then realized how "happy" I was to be back in the flow, back in my element, back to doing the thing that brings me passion ~ doing my music. This song is actually what came to my mind during this time. It was intended to be a "happy" song, but for you, let it bring you to happy times in your life (both in times past, as well as the happy times to come). Let this song serve as a reminder that being happy is a choice...a choice that needs to be chosen regardless of if you are dealing with things either within, or beyond your control. Being happy is within your control; choose it freely and wait for it to freely come back to you. It can become the strength you never knew you had....this is another show! We shall talk later! Tracy is one of my best friends ever. She has been a part of my family and has been there for everything including: wedding (to Lynn), baby dedication more...(Missy), both my Mom's and my sister's home going (going home). After almost two decades of her being a sister~like one to me...I had just found out that she has studied dance in her doings. This video is the result of me recycling one of my old originals and fusing it with Tracy's dance interpretation. It is entitled, "Tracy's Hope because Tracy is such an invisionary; she is doing so much in the way of working with young people. Needless to say, Tracy will be working with me in future productions (particularly on my original producions while Missy will be assinged to any and all cover tunes). It is wonderful to work with a great friend and adopted sister such as Tracy.

Here is how Bobby passed...in the words of his mother (from a memorial website):
"Bobby had left school that afternoon and rather than take the bus, more...he rode with a friend. They stopped at Bobby's house so he could drop off his books, then got back into the car to go just another mile down the road to another friend's house. They never made it. They were on a slushy dirt road, with the driver going way too fast for conditions. The car did not make it through the curve and hit a tree. Bobby died instantly (thank God), the driver sustained numerous broken bones, and another boy walked away unharmed. I will add here that Bobby did NOT put his seat belt back on for this "short" ride.I was working with my husband at our little restaurant when Sarah called, she couldn't even talk, her boyfriend actually explained what had happened. I couldn't even think....I remember putting the phone down and telling Tim "There's been an accident, I don't think Bobby made it...." as I was running out the door and telling Tim that I'd call him as soon as I knew what had happened. I picked Sarah and her boyfriend up at our house and then drove out to Bobby's dad's house, as he lived with his father, about 20 miles away.
The house was already filled with neighbors and friends and the associate pastor from Bobby's church. Then Bob (Bobby's dad, my ex), his brother and myself made the awful trip to the hospital. I wasn't sure I could go on, but a VERY special nurse told me that I really should see Bobby, and for that advice I am very grateful.
On the way home, in town, I'll never forget the snowball that hit our car. I remember laughing (I know....how could I be LAUGHING), but all I could think of was that was Bobby's final message to us....."I'm OKAY, mom!!!"
I knew that on the day of the funeral Bob and I would have a bit to discuss, so I asked my hubby to drive himself and his brother, I'd drive myself. I remember crying the entire way, demanding God to answer me. I also thought of just not showing up...certainly everyone could understand my grief. Finally, in the parking lot I just prayed for God to get me through this one day.
The church was FILLED, and afterward I noticed that the school had delivered THREE busloads of Bobby's friends and classmates. It was during the luncheon afterward when I really felt God's hand already beginning to work my soul. A lady came up to me and said "You must be REALLY angry with the driver of that car." It was then that I realized even from the day Bobby died, I wasn't angry with ANYONE. Even now, I realize that is was simply an accident. My sister who is a lieutenant with the city's police department had been my liason with the state police and the county sheriff. She told me that the state, after investigating, DID have enough evidence to prove fault and wreckless driving (no kidding), and did I want to file charges. I said absolutely NOT. All I had to do was think back to my teenage driving experiences and I realized that this driver was simply inexperienced and had no intention of hurting, much less killing, anyone.
It it with God's grace and the wonderful people I've met here, that I've been able to continue the way that I have. Bobby has started a new life....and so have I."
Here is my story; I had met Nancy and have known her for sometime right here on the internet. One day, I was chatting with Nancy as the subject of passed relatives came up. My heart always goes out to those who loose their children. So it was no surprise that I asked Nancy to share a picture of her beloved son upon learning of him. When I took one look at his picture...my mouth dropped. I couldn't believe how incredibly fun and full of life he was. He appeared to be just as any other little kid that you see everyday...passing a shopping center on his skateboard along with his buddies. As I saw more pictures of Bobby, this song came into my spirit; it was as if God had sent an angel...but in song. While working on this less
