"We are int he process of making our first feature film and more...trying to get between half a million and a million for the film. Do you know any one we could turn to for help producing the film?

MY response:
"Do I know you?
And is there a reason I care about the project?
Why would you ask me?"
Her last email:
"well sorry i bothered you ok!
1st off you are listed in the producers list on here so i thought i would ask i dont give a f*ck for real if ur interested ok..Jesus Christ could you be anymore a B*tch?"
I then informed her that I am in no way a producer and to send me an unsolicited email asking directions to deep pockets was a very uncouth, ill mannered, uneducated, inexperienced thing to do and that she should grow up and get some sense.
People, if you are trying to find funding for a film:
1. Do your research
2. Find an actual producer...don't just hit up random people on MySpace asking for half a million bucks.
3. Write a legible and well-worded email using spell check
4. In that email, introduce yourself, your project and how you found the recipient of the email
5. NEVER EVER call the recipient names or degrade them if they simply prompt you with more questions about your project...at least you got a response. Be thankful for that.
6. Know your industry and understand that most of us working actors have little money, no power and are just trying to survive in LA...if we had access to funds for a half million dollars...don't you think we would be doing something with that ourselves???????
7. Use common sense and manners
