My father died at age 35, on December 21st.,1959; I was 13 and my sister was 11.

I was a Licensed Practical Nurse for 20 years, working mainly in Psych and Home Health-loved both.
Started a cat specialty gift shop in Eureka Springs, AR approx. 24 yrs. ago. Sold after 3 years, but last I heard was still going strong. Cat figurines, cards, tees,jewelry, etc.
One of my paintings has appeared in an international quilting magazine and one of my paintings sold for $500; but that was WAY too long ago!

These paintings were done in a technique I call "mosaicism" because people always want to touch them; never quite such of what they are seeing. I paint more...the canvas black and then add dots with a specially formed store-bought brush. I always try to prevent the dots fron touching each other, or, being too far apart. Wanting to make sure I was right in telling questioners that this was not pointilism, I checked several art books for definitions and this is NOT pointilism! A single painting may have 33,000 dots that I apply individually. I have probably done millions of dots, literally; I know I have worn my favorite brush down to the metal! less
