He had an entire city behind him from the beginning. We had to trade Vlade Divac to get him. We had his back. He didn't more...get along the Eddie and Nick. We had his back. I was a big Shaq fan and even sided with Shaq in the beef. But Shaq was traded and Kobe was our franchise. I had to get his back. We stood by him through EVERYTHING. All his little beefs: Reggie Miller, Raja Bell, Chris Childs, Ray Allen, Reuben Patterson, we had his back. And that's not even mentioning COLORADO! I mean ... COME ON MAN! WE HAD HIM THROUGH EVERYTHING!!!! Now he's pulling this garbage talking about he wants a trade. We spent years DEFENDING HIM to the rest of the nation and this is how he repays us? We all questioned whether he was the one to leads back to glory, but we put our faith in him. When everyone else labeled him a RAPIST, SELFISH, BALLHOG, COCKY, ARROGANT, we gave him the benefit of the doubt and stood around him. We counted on him and now he wants out. Kobe. I don't know how they do things in Italy. I don't know how they do things in Philly. But this is LA! Los Angeles, CALIFORNIA! We're loyal people man but once you betray us that's it.
