Whether it be exploring a new part of town, or visiting a non commercial cave in the middle of no where, there's a place for you there! I'd like everyone who is interested in the group to join and add any video, photo, or new topic related to the group. On LV content relevant to this group can easily get lost and could get seen by a whole load more people if it were all in one place, more...so I'd love it, if we could make The Inner Explorer Group the place to go on LV for this outdoors content and discussion.

We left France around 1:30 PM yesterday and arrived back after a non stop drive at 6Am today)! I just uploaded "French Alps 02 - River Exploring" and it is now ready for viewing. I also just finished editing French Alps 11, so I have plenty to upload over the coming weeks :-) | |

Hi everyone, in case you’re wandering, I’m not back from the French Alps yet, I just logged in from the house of a family member, of a French friend and was able to upload my first video from the French Alps. I have more videos to come Inc ski footage, I hope to upload some of them before I get back around the 15th of this month, but I don’t know if I’ll get the chance. I’m having a great time here and have improved my more...skiing ?. Looking forward to watching all your videos again thou ?

Back in March of 2008 I stayed at a friends student flat in the Spanish city of Valencia for a few days during the biggest festival of the year for the city, Las Fallas (The Fallas). This gave me the chance to see and video both the Fallas and their burning (in video 2of2) later on the 19th of the month (I had never seen the burning before). I had a lot of fun doing this and I hope you enjoy watching these videos :)
Las Fallas (The Fallas), also known as fiestas josefinas in castellan or festes de Sant Josep in the local dialect from Catalan Valenciano, are celebrated in several towns and cities throughout the Velancian community of Spain, although The Fallas festival that takes place in the city of Valencia is by far the biggest.
Some Background
The Festival takes place from the 14th to the 19th of March and is held in honor of San José, the patron saint of the carpenters. The Fallas are artistic sculptures of known people with other elements incorporated around them; they often represent political/social statements about things in the Valencian community and Spain, which is why they are burnt on the last day of the festival as a way of symbolizing the action of getting rid of these unwanted sides of society.
The Fallas began in medieval times, simple from the carpenters of the city having a day of the year where they could take out into the streets and burn any left other rubbish from there carpenter work. Other time it has evolved until the present day where hundreds of Fallas are built each year (a total of 386 in 2007). Today The Fallas are a mayor event and a very important touristic attraction to the city of Valencia and Spain.

On the night of recording this (Friday 18th of July 2008) I had been playing about making stuff up at random more...for a couple of hours when I finally decided to record myself. I had only intended to record for a few minutes, but before I realized it I had recorded a full tape (60 minutes). In these videos I've edited the 60 minute video down into 4 short videos where I believe the most interesting sounds can be found.
I took piano lessons for a year some 5 years ago, but then got too busy to continue because of school. I carried on playing about with the piano every now and then making up stuff at random as a way to relax. Up until the time of making these videos I had never recorded myself playing.
