 | | Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at 5:47 AM | | Hello loyal fans and addicts. I love you all! This is my favorite place to come when I want to review great talents for our productions. I hope that we can use you in future productions, but for the time being, HARDWATER productions studio has such a small pool of funds that it's been having trouble completing itself! Well, when the money starts to flow again, then new material will aswell. Very soon there will be more frequent updates and additions to this page. I'll then have plenty more ability more...to access your copious works. I look forward to this day with great ambition, and not just with personal goals in mind! Fear not! This will become a powerful force to be reckoned with in the entertainment industry!! ( As if it isn't already..! ) less | |

| Sunday, October 7, 2007 at 5:46 AM | | Yo techno geeks and cyber heads! I can't wait to dig up more gems from the ever growing archives ... I have recently moved here to England, and found LV over this time. I am happy to say that I've found a good place to stay, and have been promoted at my new job. I've made a couple of friends along the way who have been inspirational. I'm working with the music school crews to make some noise happen. There are two music schools including more than five professors who are encouraging me in my work more...presently. There's only about five or six music schools in Manchester... I've been experimenting with my recently purchased equipment and I'm compiling a long overdue album. I'm consantly inspired by all the people who make productions here on LV, and I hope you remember to look me up when I post material ! There are new HARDWATER tracks coming soon. Much love .. | | | | | | | Several years ago, I designed a comprehensive sound system which would be the major furniture for one room devoted to entertaining. It's called 'Pillaster'. more... The Pillaster is a pyramidal sound and video unit with everything built in. It would take every known format of data including vinyls, 8 tracks, standard cassette, DAT, DVD, CD-rom, VHS, beta, laserdisc, microcassette, and possibly others, (which I haven't thought of yet). There would be a single insert for all the formats, which the Pillaster takes your data through and detects the format, and proceeds to automatically play and display the contents. Pillaster is equipped with on board projector, lighting, laser effects, strobes, and also on all four sides, all ranges of audio outputs with bass woofers at bottom and tweeters on top. It is augmented with a meta-touch-screen display for controls and display of ram and rom media. It is made from ebony, brass and carbon fibre glass. This system is truly the design of a millennium, and the only furniture you need! Z less | Last reply Jan 23, 09 by HARDWATER |

| | | | | | I'm personally impressed, and have been, ever since seeing a NORD Clavia. Sure, there are many sound processors that have its on-board features. However, more...this particular machine; NORD Lead 3, has enough mod accessories to comfortably augment any electronic output. The rack version of this machine is without a keyboard and mod wheels, but still has all the features you could want for augmentation. Its specialty is the digitally accurate analog control devices, ie. the mass of knobs it has, with their digital readouts. The features you may desire to add with other equipment are different and specific sound mods like tube, ring, or envelopment mods. This macine is otherwise capable of modifying frequency and wave form shape to the nth degree. The next step is the NORD Modular, which is an expanded version of the Lead 3, with 16x the processing capability, and, on-board software which is ultimately a simplified version of Reason.
In my book, the NORD line of ware is top quality, ergonomics and user friendliness. less | Last reply Apr 28, 08 by HARDWATER |

| | | | | | In the case of Audio, I prefer the warmer tones of analog...in the case of video which usally uses analog sound, digitally upgraded, I prefer digital. more...In the case of editing I prefer non-linear, both in audio and video. digital recordings taken from an analog source sound better than strictly taken from a DAT or other digital recording device...I prefer it be recorded on analog and backed up on digital as most recordings have been for some time...I mean do you honestly think that the source material for a CD from the Doors started as digital? no, of course not...it was analog to begin with, then recorded on a digital medium. just to re-iterate what some learned people already know, digital recording is just another way to record, digital records sounds in 1's and 0's, its the way the information is gathered which is different...which is why you can have DAT which is still tape but records the information as 1's and 0's as opposed to magnetic ticks on the tape...same medium, different way of recording the information and that simply is all it is. less | Last reply Sep 11, 07 by EllieNelkus |
