Guess what I got as an extremely late 18th birthday present??

I'm so incredibly happy you guys have no idea. No more generic effects and constant freezing and crashing from Windows Movie Maker ever again!!! (round of applause) Though I still have no idea how to create those incredible effects from users like Shihiki and ravenhpltc24. So if anyone uses this program and has any advice for me....any kind at all, really...it would be very appreciated. ^-^

I've also   more...kind of been thinking about switching screennames...instead of GlowingWhiteWings I want to use my name from my imdb and deviantart account~ElmeraMidas. I like that name a lot better. I like names that sound like people made them up but they're still pretty cool.

So this summer I have three missions: 1. Convert all of my Fullmetal Alchemist and Avatar episode files from .AVI to.MPG, because Sony Vegas doesnt like the codec on my AVI files but luckily Prism takes care of my high-quality conversions ^-^ This means more used hard drive space but whatever. 2. Change my screennames on both my LiveVideo and Youtube accounts from GlowingWhiteWings to ElmeraMidas. 3. Transfer every single file on this computer to my new laptop that I'm getting for college. I'm so excited. I'm pretty sure it's going to be a Toshiba Tecra A9. It has 250 GB of hard drive space already for all my video files anddd a Nvidia Quadro graphics card which is supposed to be excellent for video rendering XD by the end of this summer I am going to be a video-making goddess!! muahahahahahahahaha  less

Umm okay so I have a question for everybody...

Have any of you ever heard the song la Tortura (Shaketon Remix) by Shakira? It's Shakira and another guy singing about how they were dating and the guy betrayed her and is asking for forgiveness, but shakira is basically saying that he's screwed up and this time she's not taking him back. I was thinking about using that song to make a Zutara video. I heard it at the same time in my junior Spanish class as I heard Ave Maria, the song for the Kataang video   more...I made, and I had the idea that I would use Ave Maria for Kataang, and la Tortura for Zutara. But I only ended up making Ave Maria because I didn't think I there were enough clips of Katara and Zuko together to get the right feel of the video. But now almost a year later I feel like I want to make it again with clips from 312 and 313, and with more legible subs.

So what do you guys think? Should I do it? If you've heard the song, is it too cheesy? Or should I wait for later episodes for more clips?  less

Awesome summer so far!! (besides looking at all the colleges and spraining two fingers...) Kicking back, writing fanfiction, making amvs...Connecticon...I love it! It was my first con and it was beyond awesome. Next year I think I'm cosplaying as Movie!Al. ^^

Hey, it's almost summer!!! Thank goodness, school needs to END. After finals this Friday, then Monday and Tuesday of next week and I'm done. And that means more time for fanfiction and AMVs. ^^
Because I'm bored and I have absolutely nothing better to do with my time, I've been gathering clips for the Priceless Moments of Avatar Series. Yes, it's a series of videos because of the sheer number of clips. And there's a lot of em...I've got over 20 mins of clips. clips. >20 minutes!!!< And there's more I   more... added.
I've also been trying to find a song for a DNAngel video. On this one I'll take requests, because I'm stumped.
