Totally sober. The only place alcohol and guns mix is at the BATFE.

Yeah. But people were shooting off fireworks because of labor day weekend and I took advantage. Still a hell of a bang through plugs and muffs though.

The recoil of a .44 Magnum is really not so bad. I used to feel a bit of a sting when I first shot the 629. But correcting my grip fixed that. A firm grip is key. Also, don't fight the recoil. That revolver has rosewood grips, not rubber.

..... that looks a bit like it was trying to break your wrist... you usually shoot that thing with two hands?

I rarely shoot a pistol with two hands. Anything closer than 25 meters is dead easy to hit. In this case I had the camera in my left hand and a flash light in my mouth.

Nice. Good, strong grip. Excellent control over the recoil. However.... Just one question... Where are you and what are you shooting at/towards? Inquiring minds want to know.

My back yard. Into a pond with a hill of trees behind it.
The ammo was a UMC 180gr JSP (yellow box). The brass is excellent for reloading.
