Fear does strange things to people. The fact is we as humans cannot relate to any more than 150 people at any given time. After that it becomes a "them & us" situation. Don't believe me? Google "monkey sphere".

Christians of the middle ages burned and tortured many people, mostly women, calling them witches. And of course, it states in the bible that witches should be killed. What a lovely excuse to gain in property (land) and become the ruling class.
