I just got reinspired to get a Connie...
just wondering how a fatter rear tire would serve the handling of the bike...?

Posted Feb 13, 08 by Trinith
Would likely degrade it. Fat tires make cornering more difficult, thinner ones want to lean over more, making it easier.

Good to see you haveing fun .So you and Doc keep it under 130 or so.

I have to, most of the time. No telling how fast he rides though, that man is nuts like that.

The don't call them continent busters for nothing! So much power and comfort! Never heard you so quiet! lol

yea, that thing had me pretty much speechless for a few minutes

I noticed doc behind you making sure you took it easy on it! LOL. nice vid.

Actually, I was riding slow, allowing him to keep up. He knew I could leave him whenever, and had a few clear cut rules for me to follow. Near the end of that ride I was carving the hell out of some of those turns and at one point passed a biker while   more...

Someone's in love and when Trinith doesn't know what to say that must have been a damn good ride! lol

Was downright giddy for a while

It was nice to hear an excited Trinith.. you were almost giggly. lol

Yea, I was a bit overwhelmed at first. I should have waited a little while to start filming, about 10 minutes after I ended that video I was a lot calmer behind the wheel, and was having a lot of fun.

Those two on the litre bikes took off like a couple of rockets, eh? ; )

Doc's Connie is smoooooth.

Yeah, they did, but I am pretty sure I could have kept up with, if not flat out outrun the guy on the red one. That R1 is sick, I don't know about that Triumph though.

Wow, that thing is NICE. It looks so HUGE but it seems to ride like a much smaller bike. At least from what I can tell on the video.

It took me a bit to figure out why there was a reservoir on each handle bar.. lol.. hydrolic clutch. :)

It really does ride like a much smaller bike, I expected it to handle about like my cruiser does, but its not even close. The CG is a bit high, so low speed maneuvers are rough, but other than that its a dream.

That looks like a pretty fun road. About as far as you were moving the clutch when shifting is how my clutch and brake is. Its a very small friction zone. Looks like its a nice and smooth bike.

It has a bigger zone than it looks like, its just that easy to shift. To fully disengage the clutch you have to pull it pretty far.
