Description:
Ralph Nader has been running for President since 1992. In all that time he has never done a damn thing to build a viable third party. Where has Nader

been IN-BETWEEN Presidential election runs? This time around Ralph Nader isn’t even running on the Green party ticket, so which party is he building, “The Ralph Nader Cult Of Personality Party?”
In my opinion, Ralph Nader is nothing but a spoiler and a tool of the Republican party. He takes money from the Republicans in order to split the Democratic vote and get Republicans elected. I will never ever vote for, or forgive Ralph Nader.

Ralph Nader is ugly.
I never posted a blog entry in my life. But the day Nader announced his intent to spoil this year's election, I was so annoyed that I posted my
first blog ever
.
At any rate, I cannot believe anyone in his right mind would want to want for him this

year and even encourage others to do so.

Ralph Nader's persistence in running for president suggests that his psychological needs are stronger than his desire to advance his causes. Furthermore, his uncompromising approach causes him to weaken the causes he has devoted himself to supporting

and makes him a de facto ally of his lifelong opponents. He accepts the aid of right-wing Republicans who oppose his causes. The GOP gives Nader money and labor because they know his candidacy can only help John McCain get elected. (continued)
According to Federal Election Committee records, five major donors who have given $13,500 to Swift Boat Veterans for Truth to air its attack ads on John Kerry's military service have also given Nader $8,000. Specifically, Travis Anderson (NJ), Brian Pilcher (CA) and Donald Burns (FL), are three of Nader's largest donors and each has given him $2,000 (the maximum allowable contribution), while also contributing to Swift Boat Veterans for Truth. Oh but wait, there is so much more!
Rex Martin (FL) and Oliver Grace (NY) have also given to both Nader's PAC and the swift boat PAC. According to campaign finance reports, David Carney, a Republican political operative (NH) with ties to the first President Bush, donated $6,000 of "in kind" contributions to the Nader campaign. Carney's firm collected signatures to get Nader on the ballot in NH during Bush/Cheney rallies. Major Republican donors, who gave more than $100,000 in cash and in-kind contributions to Nader.
Ralph Nader also got support from three major contributors to the right-wing conservative PAC Club for Growth. The MI GOP state party, which gathered 45,000 signatures to put Nader's name on the ballot, compared to only 5,000 gathered by actual Nader supporters.
Ken Sukhia, a lawyer who provided key legal representation to President Bush during the 2000 FL. recount and was hired by Nader in FL. The Reform Party, which has anti-immigrant policies and has nominated Nader in 4 states.
In conclusion, Ralph Nader has done some terrific work in the field of consumer advocacy, he should be applauded for that fine work and the lives that were subsequently saved because of his endeavors. But that doesn't change the fact that Ralph Nader can never get elected, therefore he can never be President. He's not qualified, he has never held elected office, he's never run a company, He takes money from Republicans, the average American voter will never vote for a guy who is as eccentric and bizarre and un-electable as

I was replying to a Nader advocate who was responding to my video “Nutty Nader Nonsense”, this is a summary of the comments and the gist of the reasons that I can never vote for Ralph Nader.
There is some common ground that everyone can agree on, Nader
more...
is right on corporate regulation, taxing the rich, he's right on most of the issues. But, his stand on the issues, if you'll forgive the pun, is NOT the issue.
Ralph Nader is too old, older than John McCain, at 74 he'd be the oldest man to ever run for President.
Just because a person is great at one thing, doesn’t that mean that a person is great at all things, or some other specific thing, like being President. Look, I love Michael Moore, but I don't think that he'd be a good Presidential candidate either. Michael Moore is a great film maker, but he is less unelectable then Ralph Nader is.
I think that Ralph Nader is UN-electable, because he's too eccentric for the average American voter to identify with. He is 74 and has never been married and he's celibate. It raises troubling questions about his mental make-up. Why can't he get a date? Is he so cranky that no woman would put up with him? Is he gay? (Not that there is anything wrong with being gay, because there isn’t) None of this disqualifies him is my eyes, but in the view of a great number of American voters, there is something suspect about a man who has no intimate relationships what-so-ever.
Nader is austere, self-righteous, dogmatic, zealous, uncompromising, indignant, and judgmental, he has a grim, almost prudish sense of morality. He claims that his celibacy is forced on him because he's too busy for a family. He is not, in fact, the active manager of many of the causes he has inspired, like the Public Interest Research Groups in every state. There is no reason to believe that his causes would suffer if he set aside time for a personal life, it just doesn't ring true.
Ralph Nader has the mantle of "cranky old man" hanging over him. This could have been easily dispelled if he'd proven that he could work well with others. Nader can be RIGHT on every single issue, and he can still not be able to from a coalition and bring people together. The proof of this theory is the fact that Ralph Nader decided not to seek the 2008 Green Party nomination. Ralph Nader claims to be a viable 3rd party candidate, 3rd party? What 3rd party? The Nader Party of one?

No vote is wasted.. No matter what you say. because at least that person is Voting!... there is more to the elections than just the presidential races.. there is other seats, initiatives etc to be voted on.
I agree with you that Nader came in too late

and it is a bit odd that he even ran this year. But as a Tool for the Republicans? I do not buy it.

If you’re asking me whether I think it’s better for people participate in our system of representative Government and vote rather than stay home and sit out the election, of course it’s better for them to participate. If Ralph Nader were a real candidate
more...
with a real constituency, I wouldn’t have a problem with him. Since Ralph Nader isn’t a real candidate and has no real chance to win, a vote for him IS a wasted vote in my opinion, especially if that particular voter is opposed to the policies of the Republican Party, which Ralph Nader supporters most certainly are.
If Ralph Nader were raising money in legitimate ways from real campaign donors, I wouldn’t have a problem him, but he doesn’t, so I do. Ralph Nader takes money from the Republican National Committee, but why you might ask? Isn’t Ralph Nader an honest, ideologically pure, messianic candidate who would never let himself be manipulated like that? Well you see, Ralph Nader has no real popular support and therefore, no dinero, no moolah, no money. But why Scott, why would the Republican party want to give money to Ralph Nader, a man with whom they have stated policy differences, a man with whom they have basic fundamental philosophical disagreements?
Here’s the deal, “The enemy of my enemy is my friend”, and the same is true for political enemies. The Republican Party doesn’t really want Ralph Nader to win the Presidency, he’s for tax increases, increased regulation and all the things that they are ideologically opposed to; like clean, corruption free Government. Republicans need Nader to SPLIT the vote, on the left, so that they can win with less than 50%, this is pretty widely known. The same was true in reverse for the Democratic Party when Ross Perot ran for President in 1992. I was ecstatic when Ross Perot ran and split the vote on the Republican side, letting Bill Clinton win over Bush 41. “What a hypocrite!” you might say. Oh contraire, Mon Friar! The difference is that Perot had a real constituency and real political donations; and Ross Perot never got a DIME from the Democratic National Committee!
Ralph Nader takes money from the GOP and that is why he is nothing but a political whore, in my not so humble opinion. ; ^ )
