Ive been on a kick with the word "love" and how many deffinitions it has...
now the word "friend"
A person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard.
I think it all has to do with actions more...

Verbing a noun is usually interesting and makes language a bit more colorful, but in this case, it strips the original noun of its import.
(ironic- I just verbed "verb"- ooh, I did it again!)

I suspect my English is already colorful enough.
Actually I looked it up (can’t seem to help myself) and friend has a very rare usage as a transitive verb. I, of course, used is as intransitive so I still f**ked up. (Bet you’re sorry you even more...

I have met some great people here and treat them as I do my real friends,, but overall..on line friends are more like people we "share" with.. Maybe we should be called "ShareHolders" lol.. Excellent point here OneSmallVoice-- excellent - wishing you more...

I’m afraid that using the word shareholder would create as much confusion as the word friend. Perhaps embracing confusion may be the path to enlightenment. You have a great week too.

Yeah, another word might help, but maybe not. I was trying to say that a person cannot obtain a friend by just clicking a button, but I didn’t want to appear too glib. :)

At first I turned down friends requests because like you, I had no idea what it meant. Then I deduced that what it meant to me was someone could indeed spam me with their video announcements without having to subscribe to me and put up with my own video more...

Wow, your approach was even more analytical than mine! This is a pretty strange system, but it is free. Yeah, sometime I wonder why I even bother to read the bulletins – though the melodrama can sometimes be amusing.
