Cavey I could care less about getting on the front page myself but come on!!! WHY are LV promoting the same people over and over and over again? All new traffic then become sole viewers of that handful of people,the people getting promoted run out of

ideas,the people working their asses off to get exposure give up and then everything gets stale again.People simply miss the people that deserve recognition outside of Lv's "golden children" because those people NEVER get exposure.JB could do a month's worth of shows talking about having a hairy ass and LV would still promote him over everyone else trying to break through.When you look at things in all honesty Cavey the live show promotions are becoming just like the featured videos from before the site's launch, the same dozen people over and over again.
To be perfectly honest I have a show coming myself at the end of this month.I've spent over a month working on it so far but I have absolutely no intention of screening the live part here for a number of reasons.Firstly I could spam the promotional stuff all over this site,make 20 bulletins a day and beg the admins to give it a plug but I'd be watsing my breath.Instead a contact that works on a similar type of show that has an immense following is giving me a quick plug at the end of his show and in that few seconds of exposure i'll get more help than LV would give me with a years worth of pleading and hardwork.Secondly for most of us that try the live feature here it's so buggy it's not worth the hassle and thirdly the number limits. I don't know if it's a permenant thing or whether only certain types of accounts have ways round it but I keep getting locked out when a room hits 108 viewers (at least I think that's the figure it was either that or 118) So people, like me, that are banking on a large number of hits are using sites like stickam or ustream instead of trying to get level with the likes of Jungleboy.I'll upload the highlights as standard videos here but even if the show is a monster success and I suddenly increase my subs base to 100k I'll still not get a look in here.

Because of the nature of the LiveShows, the people get a lot of viewers have been the ones that are Live a lot.
Every channel that gets a lot of consistent viewers are the ones that are on everyday, or the pretty girls.
People generally tend to stay
more...
within the "Who's Live" page and jump from show to show, as shows start and stop.
One shot shows rarely get many viewers as a rule.

My personal opinion, and it is only opinion, is that some of the Live Show presenters may have been approached to do shows. It is beneficial for the presenter and for the site, because they are attracting viewers, and perhaps the particular presenter

is looking to advance their career by networking on here. I see nothing wrong with this. As you said, this is a "social networking" site, and everyone has their own reasons for being here. Plenty of choice for everyone.

People are just jealous, they need to grow up.
As for JB Even if he was paid (not very likely) so what? He does a great show and deserves to get the views that does. Personally i wish he was paid, he deserves it.

Don't knock people for not wanting anything to do with the Live stuff. They came here for the vid sharing aspect and some of their complaints are more about fears- fear of being smothered by all the Live shit- SURELY you can understand the vloggers

seeing every available white space being wall-papered by LIVE LIVE LIVE as something of an eyesore, at the very least.
And it's not something that's easy to ignore.
Personally, I like the variety and I wish I had more time, but I totally understand why people would complain about the Live stuff burying the other content that's here.

I see you watched Argents vlog on this subject, and he covered LVs perceived motivation behind all this better than I could.
As for knocking people, I've seen countless videos and bulletins knocking LV and the LVSshow features.
I felt it was about time
more...
someone said something positive about them, and it would only have been half the story if I hadn't generally called out the people that incessantly whine about it.

I'm new around here feeling my way around. This was an EXCELLENT video post sir. I'm coming over here from BlogTV where we don't get paid, we worked 3-4 hours BEFORE the show to prepare for a 3 hour show. We built an audience by having regular shows

I agree with you 100% Cavey... if you want to be popular you need to work at it. I basically just do a show regularly at the same time and lately have been getting on upwards of 100 viewers, but only 15-20 actual members max in my rooms.

just been doing a glorified chat room.. I need to go back to morning glory where I'd do a news and other stuff in a more structured chat room environment...
