It keeps hitting the news here too but the 'local' makes it just a bit sharper. Our neighbour's grandson is about to do a tour out there with the RAF.

Those returning who are vocal seem to be more for than against. Being adamantly against being there would have to make for a very long tour.

It's getting so old, isn't it? My son did 4 years. He joined out of highschool in May of 2001. Just looking for a leg up in the world, then 9-11 hit. He made it home okay I believe, but the memories of what could have been hit home every time I watch more...
