i think that i go between feelings of worthiness and unworthiness, from feeling that i deserve all the wonderful things i have, to the feeling that i deserve nothing at all.
when i feel unworthy, it is usually me being
more...
defeated by what is expected of me and me being unable to meet such expectations. the unworthy me is the one who believes the judgements that people make on me. it is the part of me that feels attacked and surrenders. a defeatist.
but when i feel worthy, it is usually me saying fuck others' expectations and throwing out their arbitrary values. this, i have a hard time reminding myself of, but it is what keeps me 'being me'.
i think that everybody deserves good things, only it is a matter of us believing we deserve those things. often, because of social norms and such, we are made to feel guilty and as a result, when i listen to those voices, i'm at my worst.
i'd definitely say that people can change, as i think i've gone through ridiculously changes and am continually doing so. i'm very wary though, to use phrases like "getting better" and "striving for improvement" simply because in my situation, going to university, in a way i must conform to their system, a system that i find horrifically flawed, but at the same time, my advancement (according to their standards) i hope will somehow deconstruct their exclusivity that makes people feel unworthy and undeserving.

i apologize for not making a video reply, but i find that i'm not able to articulate on camera as well, and as i did in that 'going public' vid, i left a lot of things out!
also: i like the way you talk. it is very strong and confident.
