If anything is "landing on a dime" it's being able to get your plane to hit a 30-40 foot area (the space with the arresting cables) don't you think? :)

how does that prove they can "land" on a dime? Were not talking about a F35 here. I'm not saying it is an easy thing to do, but with the landing system and procedure in place on carriers, this is easy. now if it was during a storm, yea, good job, but more...

This reminds me of that maddening section in Top Gun for the original Nintendo where you had to land the jet on the aircraft carrier and it was always telling you to pull up, pull down, but you'd end up crashing the damned thing 9 times out of 10. Come more...
