Soon after Guy is defeated, Kisame catches up, and meets up with Sasori. The two follow Itachi and the pursuiters. However, more...they didn't realize that they were crossing the base of one of Akatsuki's former members...
Sasori: "I don't see why you took that girl with you, Kisame. You should have left her to die!"
Kisame: "I was thinking, maybe we could make a deal with those scum. We don't need them capturing Itachi."
As the two continue on, a familiar figure appears in front of them. Sasori recognizes it faster than Kisame: Orochimaru.
Orochimaru: "Well, well, Sasori, and Kisame. What brings you here? What could you possibly want."
Kisame: "We were just passing by. Now, move."
Orochimaru: "Heh, do you expect to me to believe that? Perhaps Itachi wants Sasuke? Or you plan to kill me, so I don't spill information, hmm?"
Just then, Hiruko's tail curls around Orochimaru, and keeps him in his grasp.
Sasori: "Kisame... go on ahead. I want to take care of something."
Kisame: "Very well. Take care of this trash, and catch up to me."
Kisame then leaves, and Sasori releases Orochimaru from Hiruko's tail, until Kisame is out of sight.
Sasori: "I haven't seen you for a long time, Orochimaru."
Orochimaru: "Ah, Sasori... yes, the last time I've seen you was when we were partners... I was always the better one."
Sasori: "Oh? You think so? Well, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to get rid of a traitor."
Orochimaru: "Go ahead and try..."
Meanwhile, the pursuiters follow Itachi, with Kisame catching up...
