well-established organized religions of the world, I think that even the most rabid, orthodox, fundamentalist Trekkie knows where the mythological fantasy ends, and real life begins (painful as it may be to acknowledge that at times. LOL).
I enjoyed "Enterprise", and no, it did not suck...."point blank". It ran into some serious problems where it took the show in the wrong direction in the whole third season "Xindi Weapon" story arc. The show got dark, and less bawdy and fun. It lost touch with the 1960's roots with which it was trying to reconnect at first. But they were just getting back on the path by the end of the 4th year (Except for that LOUSY Finale that depended unnecessarily on TNG to resolve their storyline. That was a definitely cheap shot).
I hope they DO make a BUNCH of TOS-re-boot movies, and I hope we can get one every year, rather than wait three years or more between movies. And i hope they keep them fresh diffrent and original so it's not always another "Maybe we'll destroy the Enterprise to save the Galaxy" movie. Let's just go to some alien planets we haven't seen and deal with THEIR issues, not just Starfleet's.
Like Star trek itself, I remain optimistic...at least about TREK's future. OUR future on the other hand, well....................
