I've floated the front wheel a few inches on one or two occasions. Once I accidentally dumped the clutch at 6k and the bike returned the favor rather violently.

what i do is ride around 5-10mph which is near or below 6k rpm and then take it up to 10-12k and the front end just flies up

what your doing is pretty much the same thing except you are just feathering the clutch to get a bit of speed before you pop more...
