| | | | | Colorado Trail, 2008: Rigel's Last Hike | Went back to the Colorado Trail July 25, 2008 to do trail maintenance (a group from my church has adopted more...a section of the trail), and to remember Rigel. This was the last mountain hike he did in 2007, near Kinosha Pass.

It includes pictures from a trip I took to Costa Rica, and beautiful acoustic guitar music by Steven Wiseman, a talented artist local to me. If you ever get to Costa Rica, might I recommend staying at the Observatory Inn, a beautiful inn where every room has an entirely glass wall facing the active volcano, Mount Arenal. I also recommend the canopy tour at Rincon de la Viejo... 23 platforms in more...trees that you repel between, along with a gorgeous suspension bridge. See Costa Rica from the point of view of many of its wildlife! Also, it's not like Mexico... there is no bartering and begging from shopkeepers, and the water is clean enough to drink. Also, want to talk about environmentally green? All power in Costa Rica is hydroelectric or geothermal! Just watch out for potholes! less | |

This summer, I've been setting up my camera whenever we have a lightning storm... Once I'm done with exams, I'll go through all of the footage to make more...a "STORMS" video.
I've always had a fascination of lightning. It takes 20,000 volts for a spark to travel one inch.
Fun fact: A bolt of lightning is hotter than the surface of the sun. less
