| Monday, August 20, 2007 at 10:29 AM | | Ok, I know it's been AGES, but I finally have a new video up. It's called "Tropical Paradise: Costa Rica, 2001." It includes pictures from a trip I took to Costa Rica, and beautiful acoustic guitar music by Steven Wiseman, a talented artist local to me. If you ever get to Costa Rica, might I recommend staying at the Observatory Inn, a beautiful inn where every room has an entirely glass wall facing the active volcano, Mount Arenal. I also recommend the canopy tour at Rincon de la Viejo... 23 platforms in more...trees that you repel between, along with a gorgeous suspension bridge. See Costa Rica from the point of view of many of its wildlife! Also, it's not like Mexico... there is no bartering and begging from shopkeepers, and the water is clean enough to drink. Also, want to talk about environmentally green? All power in Costa Rica is hydroelectric or geothermal! Just watch out for potholes! less | |

Went back to the Colorado Trail July 25, 2008 to do trail maintenance (a group from my church has adopted a section of the trail), and to remember Rigel. more... This was the last mountain hike he did in 2007, near Kinosha Pass.

A test of my new Samson C01U microphone recording my keyboard more than anything else. My piano skills have been off ever since I had surgery on a compromised more...nerve in my left arm several years ago (successful- more...most function was preserved), accentuated by my being WAY out of practice.
Keyboard is a Roland EM-10, and it doesn't have enough keys. I don't have any pedals for it, and it's been broken more than once.
