 | | | | HAARP - Advances In Tesla Technology - 1/2 25:25 Link to part 2/2 below HAARP (High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program) is a controversial high frequency radio transmitter, or "ioniospheric heater," more...which is believed to be descended from the works of Nikola Tesla and is operated by the U.S. Navy/Air Force and Phillip Laboratories in remote Gakona, Alaska.
Using HAARP, the military can focus a billion-watt pulsed radio beam into our upper atmosphere, ostensibly for ionospheric research. This procedure will form extremely low frequency waves and send them back to the Earth, enhancing communications with submarines and allowing us to "see" into the Earth, detecting anything from oil reserves to underground missile silos.
However, several researchers claim HAARP poses many dangers, including blowing thirty-mile holes in the Earth's upper atmosphere. They also warn of possible disruption of the subtle magnetic energies of our Earth and ourselves.

There were hundreds of more...Nazi projects for new fighters, bombers, and missiles, as well as many intriguing projects, prototypes and even small-scale productions of advanced weaponry, still quite obscure by today's technological standards.

| | Super High Me! - 1/4 26:03 Link to part 2/4 below You know that movie Super Size Me, where that guy Morgan Spurlock ate McDonald’s every meal for 30 days? People actually paid more...money to see that. Well, if that’s a movie, I’ve got a movie! I’m going to smoke pot every day for 30 days, and it’s going to be called Super High Me, or Business As Usual… I haven’t decided on a title yet. But guess what? McDonald’s is going to be in my movie too!
– Joke from Doug Benson’s stand up act, 2006
Super High Me features comedian Doug Benson and explores the current situation with medical marijuana in California and the United States, specifically focusing on the conflict between federal and state law and the explosive growth in medical marijuana dispensaries in Los Angeles over the past two years.
As part of his journey, Doug smokes, eats and vaporizes medical marijuana for thirty consecutive days in order to get “Super High.” But there is a catch–first Doug must go thirty days without any marijuana and undertakes a number of tests, completing the same tests while medicated and while sober, in an effort to find out what marijuana does and how it really affects people. Along the way, we follow Doug as he goes out on the road to stand up gigs across the country and hangs out with fellow comedians Sarah Silverman, Bob Odenkirk and Patton Oswalt.

| | | | Tesla - Master of Lightning - 1/4 22:14 Link to part 2/4 below Nikola Tesla was one of the greatest electrical inventors who ever lived. His technological achievements transformed America from more...a nation of isolated communities to a country connected by power grids where information was available upon demand. In the 20th century, it was Tesla's technology that united the United States and eventually the world.
Tesla's life was like a movie. It is the story of a brilliant and charismatic immigrant who rose to the height of celebrity with his amazing talent, and then was tragically undone by his own visionary ideas. The cast of characters includes: Thomas Edison, J. Pierpont Morgan, Guglielmo Marconi, George Westinghouse, Mark Twain and many more.

| | | Secrets of Nikola Tesla - 1/4 22:51 Link to part 2/4 below Nikola Tesla (10 July 1856 – 7 January 1943) was an inventor, physicist, mechanical engineer, and electrical engineer. Born in more...Smiljan, Croatian Krajina, Austrian Empire, he was an ethnic Serb subject of the Austrian Empire and later became an American citizen.
Tesla is best known for his many revolutionary contributions to the discipline of electricity and magnetism in the late 19th and early 20th century. Tesla's patents and theoretical work formed the basis of modern alternating current electric power (AC) systems, including the polyphase power distribution systems and the AC motor, with which he helped usher in the Second Industrial Revolution.
Contemporary biographers of Tesla have deemed him "The Father Of Physics" and "the man who invented the twentieth century" and "the patron saint of modern electricity."
After his demonstration of wireless communication (radio) in 1893 and after being the victor in the "War of Currents", he was widely respected as America's greatest electrical engineer.
Much of his early work pioneered modern electrical engineering and many of his discoveries were of groundbreaking importance. During this period, in the United States, Tesla's fame rivaled that of any other inventor or scientist in history or popular culture, but due to his eccentric personality and unbelievable and sometimes bizarre claims about possible scientific and technological developments, Tesla was ultimately ostracized and regarded as a "mad scientist".
Tesla died impoverished at the age of 86.

| | | | | Unsustainable Crisis - Feeding The World - 1/2 22:34 There are places in the world where history seems to be running backwards: children are stopping going to school. The reason, so they can work in the more...fields because it's the only way their family can get enough to eat.
Meanwhile, in the UK we're putting agricultural products in our petrol tanks to help fight global warming. A painstaking international survey has warned there is a looming catastrophe unless farming is radically reformed. less Added: Apr 25, 08 Channel: Drachnid Views: 74 Category: Science & Technology |
| | | Great Green Fuel Gamble - 1/2 15:13 With 620 million cars worldwide and fossil fuels running out, are biofuels the green solution to our energy needs. Now there's a revolution going on in more...the garages of the UK as individuals and companies switch to biofuels.
Retired teacher Dick Jones makes his own biofuel, to power his people carrier from the local pub's converted chip fat. Although the chemicals involved are potentially dangerous, the rewards can be worth it. Jones says he likes "the idea of using a waste product to make oil, and I like the idea of being energy independent, but it also saves a lot of money".
Critics argue it will mean diverting crops from food to fuels. Will the knock-on effect be a hike in the prices of cereal and grains which hit those already living in poverty hardest? less Added: Apr 25, 08 Channel: Drachnid Views: 29 Category: Science & Technology |
