So I was searching Youtube today, hoping to find the commentary for the Avatar finale, when I suddenly had the random urge to try and play the Kataang more...theme from the final scene of the series. I’ve wanted to figure out the chords and stuff ever since the finale aired, but for some reason I never had the motivation to do it until now.
Anyways, this is what I got about an hour or so later, after listening very intently to the song over and over again. I tried to make it sound as close to the actual theme as possible. The background strings were prerecorded.
Also, I don’t take piano classes or anything, so if my finger positions are wrong, that’s the reason why. I did write out some sheet music…if you could call it that, I guess. It’s more like my own style of composing. I basically wrote out the letters instead of actual notes (since I can’t read bass clef that well), and there’s no staff or measures…it’s kind of written on regular line paper. ^__^; If you know how the song goes, then it shouldn’t be too hard to understand. Let me know if you’d like a copy and I’ll be happy to send it to you. :)
I’m not sure if I’ll be doing the second part of the theme…it’s a bit hard to hear all of the chords, but I’ll see what I can do.
