Butch Hartman said it on his forum when he announced that DP was going out of production. The topic got deleated a few months ago, so it's not there anymore.

I was actually crying by the end of the video. I guess I'm more heart-broken over the situation than I realised! I won't give up until Danny is saved! Butch said he'd be glad to make more episodes, it's just a matter of convincing Nick to bring DP back.
