| Friday, July 25, 2008 at 9:39 AM | | TAKING A MUCH-NEEDED BREAK FROM THE SITE FOR A WHILE. I've got some serious video burnout right now and I need to get my sleep cycle back on an even keel. So if you comment or message me and I don't get back to you in a timely fashion, don't worry. It's nothing personal, and nothing sinster, Just taking a few days offline for some R & R. --Baron | |
| Sunday, July 13, 2008 at 5:44 AM | | The WALKERVIEWS INTERVIEW with BARON DIXON is a PODCAST instead of a TV interview! Go to WALKERVIEWS.COM to listen to the show! Walkie and I discuss the past, present and future of "TYRANNOVISION", and we even play some exclusive never-before-heard clips from all three parts of "The TRIAL OF DR. INTERACT!" I try desperately to keep from rambling like an idiot most of the time, but we manage to have a good time through it all! It's the ELITE FORCE PODCAST at WalkerViews.com, and soon, on the more...Chris Jones Gaming Radio player at the top of my homepage here. less | |
| Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at 7:24 PM | | HEY, GANG! If you have surfed the entire body of content on my channel, you'll notice that I'm really all over the place content-wise. So I'm taking advantage of the ALBUMS feature to categorize my videos, to make it a little easier for y'all to access the type of content that interests you at the moment. Now, naturally there's a lot of crossover. I do a lot of animation for different things, so something like "Parasites", although it is all animated imagery, goes into the category of "Song Parodies". more... So it largely depends on what the primary focus of the video is that determines where I put it. But things like the Photoshop tutorials are a no-brainer.
Anyway, I hope this makes the channel more user-friendly for you. I've also done the same thing with the Photos section, as many of the photos are directly related to some of the videos here, and function as supplemental material to them. For instance, I always provide a full-size image of the final product from each Photoshop demo I do for you, so you can get a better look at it that 320x240 video resolution just doesn't provide.
As always, thanks for watching!

| Friday, February 2, 2007 at 12:39 PM | | WELCOME, NEW VIEWERS! Hey, I just want to formally give an informal shout out to all you viewers dropping in. Those of you who are heavily into VLogs may be somewhat disappointed because I really don't have that much to say, but I will come on occasionally with some video announcements because there are a couple of topics I'm itching to discuss, and I don't feel like typing all of it. LOL. Hopefully, you'll find every video on my channel of some interest to you, especially if you're into arts, animation, more...and gratuitous special effects. I also write and perform song parodies, so I hope to be getting a few music videos up for you to chuckle at. There's one called "Parasites" that you can actually sing along to because I put up some karaoke-type lyrics for you.
You'll find a lot of Behind-The-Scenes documentaries about our current feature movie "Night Of The Necroluna" which I think you'll find both vastly entertaining and highly informative, especially to you no-budget moviemakers out there. You know who you are, and I wanna hear from you and see what YOU'RE doing as well! I'll be sharing some "Anatomy of an Effects Shot" featurettes that show you my approach to creating various digital effects shots in the movie. My techniques are crude by Hollywood standards, but actually have a more hand-made "film" look to them than the usual slick CGI work, thus maintaining the 1970's Drive-in look to the overall project. Anyway, I hope this material is highly inspirational to you, as much of your own work has already inspired me.
And if you haven't figured this out already, you'll see a lot of animation here, now that I have an outlet for it! I'll also edit together some painting demos for you artists out there who enjoy watching other artists work--especially if you're a cat lover. I'll cave in to presenting the occasional slide-show as well, giving you even more glimpses into my creative life.
Be sure you read the descriptions next to each video. I chock 'em full of useful information, and they may answer some questions you may have about what you're watching and how it was done.
Seen all the videos? Wouldja like to just look at some photos for a bit? Scroll down to my Photo section and see examples of my fine art, commercial art, exploitation art, and production stills from "Night of the Necroluna!"
Enjoy the show, Gang!

 | | | Backyard Backlot: Good Morning, Greenscreen! 03:57 A look at the completed (so far) Outdoor Greenscreen Stage. I have rolled out the studio floor and am seeing how it looks on camera. I apologize for more...the ransom "Speed ramping" which occurs throughout theis video. I don't know what is causing that... but it DOES look kind of interesting and comical! less Added: 19 hours ago Views: 51 Category: Video Blogs |
| | Backyard Backlot: Painting the Chroma Key Floor 05:06 On my front driveway I time-lapse myself painting a carpet green for what will be the floor of the backyard greenscreen stage. The carpet has been primed more...with two different primers on its underside, which is the surface that will be used for the floor. Of course, I couldn't resist having a little fun in post-production...heh-heh! less Added: 20 hours ago Views: 38 Category: Video Blogs |
| | | Backyard Backlot: Sci-Fi Styrofoam 02:13 THANKS FOR THE FEATURE, LV! A quickie inspirational video on how to create a high-tech sci-fi environment using pre-formed styrofoam packing, some art more...supplies, and some creative thinking. less Added: 5 days ago Views: 219 Category: Video Blogs |
| | | | | Outdoor Chroma Key Wall Test No.2 02:50 Now the wall has been completely coated with Professsional-Grade ROSCO Chroma Key Green VideoPaint (Also avaialble in Chroma Key Blue). We paid around more...$72.00 US for a gallon of this stuff, but ONE COAT gets the job done, where I previously used THREE coats of Behr Premium house paint. If time is money on your set, then the Rosco paints definitely save you money. It's a cost versus value argument. Big thanks to my best bud Larry Lo Presti for coming over on his days off and helping me get this project more and more completed. less Added: Sep 26, 08 Views: 141 Category: Video Blogs |

| | Late-Nite Hangin' Out in LiveShow with Baron, Sept 4, 2008 01:47 An archive of me attempting to host a LiveShow chat. After a "Minnie the Moocher" karaoke video, I am joined in my chatroom by three other people on mic more...and cam and we just talk about whatever. You can hear the other cam chatters talk with me, so it's not entirely boring. Thanks to Greg Lions for inspiring me to try doing this now and then. less Added: Sep 8, 08 Views: 51 Category: People |
| | | Impromptu Photoshop Demo on LiveShow Sept 4, 2008 01:25 This is an archived LiveShow file. It starts out with a karaoke video from my playlist, and then is followed by a live demo of me painting cats in Adobe more...Photoshop. Just me by myself for the most part, experimenting with using a webcam to shoot my PS demos. Nothing fancy, but something you can probably just sit back and chill out to for those of you who like to relax by watching other people make stuff. less Added: Sep 5, 08 Views: 55 Category: Arts & Animation |
| | | | Animated Interlude: Rush Hour 01:33 I dug this piece of a project up on my iMac. It's meant as an establishing shot for a larger and more varied scene in rush hour traffic, but sometimes more...I like a shot enough to just make a continuous loop out of it so I can just enjoy looking at it, like a moving painting, as it were. I list the software I used at the end. less Added: Aug 25, 08 Views: 125 Category: Arts & Animation |
