| | | | | Animation Restoration: 1950's Dancing Family | My friend Paul Wilson wanted to have a loop of the dancing family from the 1950's General Electric "Live more...Better Electrically" campaign. He found it on a YouTube upload. After I downloaded, converted, and then looped the dance segment of the video, I thought to myself, "I'd like to see this more pristine". So breaking the dance cycle into its 12 component frames as JPEGs, I proceeded to reconstruct the characters in Photoshop. Yeah, I probably could have done it in Flash, but I think that doing it this way preserves the "filmy" look of the animation, whereas Flash animations, with rare exceptions, tend to look...well..."Flash"-y, for lack of a better word. Anyway...You can't watch this deliriously happy Mid-Century Modern cartoon family and be depressed. LOL less
