hi shai. i happened to turn this off a day or two ago for the same reason as many commenters below - it was obnoxious when i went to my own page. but i had no awareness of people being screwed for bandwidth. thanks for the heads up and i will leave more...

OK, I'll make the change. Never let it be said that FredlyFX is a Kiwi Hater. I think you guys all need to go down to your local ISP and smash some stuff. Maybe when they replace the equipment it will be with better stuff.

Unless they spend billions of dollars upgrading everything, even smashing their stuff prolly wouldnt make much of a difference! Good idea though! x

This is true. I think many of us here in the US, defanitly take our internet use for granted. I don't think we really seem to care about anyone else since we don't have to worry a whole lot about bandwidth. Since you did point out a nice or bad feature more...

that really sux! I'm from Canada where they give us the option of unlimited downloads a month, and I thought that was available everywhere! I pay $56 a month for unlimited access to the internet, and I never get penalized for bandwidth, I never even more...

You know, Losts does raise a good point, in one sentance. You can save a fair bit of bandwidth if you tell firefox not to download third-party images unless you tell it to individually. Then Bradthunder's photobucket pics won't come up unless you want more...

Same as Texcentric. It really should be the default to hit the play button to start the download. Anyway, that's how I'm setup. You have to hit da play button!!!
