An artist I know often points out to how "contained" a piece is- how it's held together or framed. If it seems contained (starkly framed or whatever), it seems to suggest a desire to control whatever energy the piece came from. I don't know if that's

good or bad but it seems a continuation of the "random chaos", as you put it, would be a way of honoring that energy and letting it remain and go "on and on" (winkie winkie).
