On July 1, California and Washington will be the newest states to implement a law requiring drivers to use hands-free devices while behind the wheel to more...avoid being issued a ticket. In an effort to raise awareness about convenient hands-free options available to consumers which enable safer driving, LG Mobile Phones hosted an event titled "Red, White & Bluetooth" on June 19, 2008 at the Petersen Automotive Museum which is located at 6060 Wilshire Boulevard (at Fairfax Boulevard) in Los Angeles.
LG has partnered with pop icon / actor Erik Estrada a tireless supporter of law enforcement, conducted a press briefing and provided interviews regarding the significance of this new law. The press briefing occurred at 11:30 a.m. followed by a free giveaway, which was open to the public until 1:30 p.m. More than 1,000 LG Bluetooth headsets were given away while supplies lasted. LG product specialists were available to answer questions about pairing headsets and handsets.
