Please keep the snow and just send us the warm weather.
It's sunny today but cold enought to keep the snow on the tops of the hills.
Unusual sign of spring you get with trees drifting on the river!! Any particular cause or is it the snow and ice melting

The Niagara is actually a strait connecting Lakes Erie and Ontario, with a couple of minor tributaries also emptying into it. The thaw brings anything that was trapped over the winter from the shores of Erie and the lesser creeks.

The Niagara River never freezes (except for a 1/4 mile stretch just below the falls, called the ice bridge).
Ice breaking up in the creeks (tributaries) usually sends trees down the river.
One of my videos from last May shows a tree in the river. That's

the reason some people wait until Memorial Day to put their boats in the water.
